A lil south of sanity
My neighbors house was broken into..
while I was getting ready to leave hubby comes upstairs and calls DS & me out to ask if we saw anything..
Around 1pm, hubbys car alarm went off, didn't think much of it..
I was outside for a few minutes a bit later & heard unfamiliar voices but looked at the other neighbors, the ones that were robbed are so quiet I didn't even think to look their way..hubby saw a truck in the driveway, but it looked like the worker's trucks that've been doing work on their house, so he didn't think much of it..this was BROAD day light & we're in the suburbs on a BUSY road..you'd never think..
I'm making hubby put locks on the barn, he's going to have to do some figuring but sheesh all the sudden safe little suburbia isn't the same..
So glad I have a big (protective) dog, the police said they've actually had SEVERAL of these kind of break-ins lately..

Re: My neighbors house was broken into..
Hope your neighbors weren't home ( or hurt )
I've heard of moving trucks that pull up to a house ( in broad day light )
and they just start packing up the house into the truck! most of the neighbors don't bother to take a second look. because sadly, a lot of people don't know their neighbor and think nothing of it.
I always lock up tight (you just never know..) and I reside in one of the top 10 safest cities to live in !
you'd be smart to get those locks! Better safe then sorry.
