    Angry ebay sellers who take months to ship

    i won an acution on ebay. i won 4 shirt, final bid 43.15, s/h 6.58. at the time, i had the money, and it was reasonable for 4 shirts, considering what other people were selling the same shirts for individually. i make sure to get my money order out as soon as possible, mailed it the same day. this guy takes two months to ship my stuff. he only shipped after i threatened to call a lawyer (which was a bluff), and he said he would add a sticker and a patch because he took so long. he still doesn't send the package out for a week and a half, and when i get the package, no patch. he enclosed a little note saying 'he couldn't find it'. i think as long as it took to get my shirts shipped, he could have taken the extra time to find a patch. i am considering sending him an email asking about it, but i don't think it would be worth it... this isn't the worse part. when he shipped the package, he went to ups and used a different method of shipping than the 6.58 was to cover, without saying anything to me about it, and the shipping total came to 8.00, or a little more. he has the nerve, in the note saying he couldn't find the patch, to ask for the difference in shipping. can you believe the audacity of this guy? i have not responded, and i will not be sending him the difference. i have had people take a while on shipping, but this has been the longest by far. i think i am nearly done with this ebay business, people just don't act very maturely on that site.

    I once had a seller take two months or more to send a book.So i know how you feel.

    Edited to add.

    Wait until the last minute to leave negative feedback that way he can't leave any negative feedback to you.I believe you have 90 days to leave feedback.So i would wait until the last day to leave it.

    Id wait till the last day and the last minute possible to leave him feedback. He deserves every bit of neg he gets.

    As for the shipping, it is not your fault he shipped it a more expensive way. If he had shipped it a less expensive method, I pormise you he wouldnt have sent YOU the difference!

    just to add about shipping

    We bought sword on eBay that was described as new in box for $18. Shipping was $20 and they only paid $10.80. When we got it, it was not new in the box but with scratched display and broken handle wrapped in some paper. When I asked seller about it -- they replied that I can return it at my expense and they'll refund what I paid less 15% restocking fee. I calculated that if I do that, I'll get nothing: meaning that refund will equal the cost to ship it back. Paypal and eBay wouldn't do anything b/c I did get the item.

    That really sucks - I send all my ebay purchases out within 3-5 days.

    i plan to leave negative feedback. i have discovered however, that even after the 90 days, there are ways to go back and leave feedback if you have the item number...
    it might be malicious, but i have decided that i am going to try to squeeze a positive feedback out of him, then leave a negative in response. i know it's mean and sneaky, but geeze...
    i think i will wait a few days though, maybe i will calm down and not go that far. what do you guys think???

    I don't think anyone should sell if they cannot ship the day your item was paid for.When someone buys something from me on ebay I ship the same day I get the money. Yes, I work. And it's an odd shift. Bt it's only fair. People don't like to be waiting for packages. It's a shame that you had to wait that long....And the nerve to ask for extra shipping!!

    BTW- I do REFUND extra shipping. I would expect the same..... Poeple are so greedy nowadays!!

    I usually send out all of my husbands ebay packages, usually the day after it is paid by the winner. My husband does not make any money on the shipping. He is always waiting for people to pay for their purchases, sometime like you for months. It sucks. He sometime calls them at home and then threatens to fly to their location and hire a lawyer. (he works for an airline, so it is really easy to fly). It usually works. But then you get those a$# holes who really do not care, not even for the negative!!

    Good luck, and I would ask for a partial refund!!

    Forget paying any extra postage. He set his price so if it cost him more that's his problem. The most I have ever had to wait for something was 2 weeks and I think that in this day and age that's excessive. I would definately leave negative feedback.

    Do not pay the extra shipping. I sell on ebay and if the shipping is off, I eat that extra cost. I would also leave feedback that he took that long to ship. As for the patch I would say just forget it.
