my 2 oldest boys quit having naps at about 2 1/2 or so. I say if he seems tired, let him rest, otherwise let him go. He'll wear himself out earlier and sleep better!!

Umm, well, I say it depends on the child. Both of my boys took naps till they were in school all day(first grade).

Both my boys took naps until they went to Kindergarten.
While they may only have rested or read books,
it was a quiet time after lunch. Most of the time
they did need the nap because they were
'all boy' and played really hard.
IMO - you know your child better than
    anyone else.

My kids napped til they were about 5...in kindergarten which is full day here, they had nap time for the first few months, until they were used to full day school, and then there were no naps, but I think it depends on the child..if the child seems tired I say nap, if he doesn't seem sleepy, I don't see a need.

Insanity is hereditary; you get it from your kids.

I still take naps too, usually if I need one,I will lay down when Dawson takes hers.I have a set time between 11:30-12:30,then I put her down.Lord help me if she misses her nap for some reason....CRANKY!

My oldest naped until she started school, then come home and took a nap on her own lol Like at night 10pm she heads to bed,it's her natural alarm, her body just is used to that.
