my dd bus driver was smoking pot

Friday Afternoon
my dd got off the school bus crying i ask her whats wrong
she said the bus driver was smoking weed i asked if she was sure and from what she said it sounds true to me
from the way she pulled up to our house she almost crashed into the garage.
so i called the school the school is caling the bus company
and i also called the bus aid and my dd teacher aid who rides the bus home.
as it turns out the driver blast her radio drives crazy and get the children to school at 9:30 AM
my dd is scared she will have to ride the bus with that crazy pot head
driver.
i told my dh who said on monday he will go over the bus companys head
and talk the board of ed and the head of transportation.
it make wonder who this company is hiring.
the last time last year the driver called her names now this i cant take much more of this bus companys BS

Thanks for listening to my petty little vent i know there are other with way bigger problems then mine

OMG!! I would be pissed off too! If they do not get rid of this driver, one day a parent is goign to be filing a law suit against them, for the driver harming a student from her erratic, pot induced driving!! This driver not only needs fired, but arrested for driving under the infulence of drugs!!

Remember the saftey of our children is NEVER a petty vent..the actions of this driver driving under the infulence of pot could very well lead to the harm or even death of an innocent child, or other motorist..if the aid saw this driver smoking pot and also did nothing she deserves to be fired too!! It is her and the bus drivers jobs to make sure your/my kids are safe on the bus..
Makes me glad that my kids NEVER ride the bus..we live ina very small town..the ONLY kids that ride the bus or those that are bussed from the smaller surrounding towns, and pre-k students..

My sister is a bus driver in NH and they are drug tested regularly..
This driver sounds crazy and its hard to belive this all is going on....

Try riding the bus with her one day.....you are allowed at any time to accompany your child to school ya know

Dont these busses have video camera's? Most of them do now a days.
Especially the special ed busses should have them so they can be monitored in case of an emergancy right??

they do not let parent ride on the school bus
and they dont have any cameras and they do not do grug testing on the drivers.
the bus aid said she did not see any thing but she did notice the window was down on the drivers side. and it so cold out it was 8 out side why was the window down

OMG! and norht bergan is supposed to be one of the nicer palces to live in NJ! i am horrified for you! this year we had 8 bus drivers all before november!... and i live in a supposedly excellent school district. one of the top 200 in the nation. good luck and keep us posted!

I am sorry but i beg to differ with you on this one......

"YOU ARE ALLOWED" at any given time to accompany your child to either school or class if wanted.
They cant tell you you cant! Check with the bus comanpy and tell them you are having problems with the driver and want to ride along.Or get out there and petition your dist to install the video cams on these busses.....or drug test your drivers.
Dont just V/W do SOMETHING about it.

i have ask this question about riding the school bus with my dd to school the bus company said that i can not ride on the school bus because of some rules with the insurance.
and as for a petitioning a dist North Bergen reps do not give a hoot

all they will do is say we will look into it and then guess what happens nothing they are always saying no money for that kind of thing.
and far as me venting and whining i know some body hear will listen to me it helps me feel a little better when i can talk to some one.

I have also been told I can't ride the bus to the school with my kids (whne they were in pre-k)..funny thing is they won't allow parents to ride to and from school with their kids, but they will allow them to on field trips, where they need chaparones
