Only my son
This is my son's second year of school. All last year I never was called to come pick him up from school, As of today, I have had to pick him up 3, yes I said THREE times because he was in the nurses office. first 2 times was because he was sick.
Today, my little hellian had me called to school to pick him up because he had........ STAPLED HIS FINGER!!!!!! LOL(I smiled real big when I picked him up, assured the teacher and everyone else I wasn't upset and accidents happen) But now, I can laugh!(aren't I mean, lol) I had to take him to the Doctor to have it removed because it was so deep(Doc thinks it might have possibly hit the bone, Taylor is on antibiotics because of it, luckily his shots are up to date, so he didn't have to get one of those)He was ok , never cried till I got to school, then he let loose(thought mommy and daddy would be mad at him)I told him we weren't.
He wasn't being bad when it happened, he was supposed to be "supervised" I found out after everything (from him) how it happened. He was stapling a project the stapler got jammed, and he used a pair of scissors to get the jammed one out(notice he was suppose to be supervised here, I still am not mad at the teacher, cause I know how easy my son can get in a situation like this, and he tries to be Mr fix-it, and I am not mad at him either) So anyway, he gets the jammed one out, and goes to shut the stapler back down, and his finger gets in the way, and presto, stapled finger.(BTW he is only 6) by the time we got to the Dr, and got it pulled out, my son had a dent in his finger from where the staple had been(it was in there that tight)
Poor guy, lol, he still keeps saying "it was just an accident", and "you're really not mad at me?" I have to take him back monday so the Doc can check it to make sure everything is ok, I am just so relieved it wasn't anything more serious, and I can laugh about it now(I almost cried when I saw it, and how upset he was, and also when the Dr pulled it out, you know momma's can't stand to see their babies hurting)

LOL! I can say that without feeling bad, because my precious little man was playing with just the spiral part of a spiral notebook, when somehow it became "screwed" into the tip of his finger. lol He's 22 now, and we still laugh about it.

I stapled my finger when I was in Kindergarten and my teacher just pulled it out and sent me on my way to keep doing my project. It must not have been as imbedded as your son's. I am glad it is out and he is doing better. I would laugh afterwards too.
Last week my 4 year old shoved a piece from a lego toy way up his nose and we couldn't get it out. He was crying that it hurt so I had to take him to the ER to get it removed. I laughed all the way there, back and when I told people about it.

Ouch...poor kid! Sounds like something I would do!
I did that whne I was about 10!! Same situation as the OP..I was trying to close a stapler, at school, and accidentally stapled my finger..luckily it wasn't deep, and came right out..all i needed was a band aid.

LOL! My 7 year old neice (when she was around 4) kept putting small dried beans into her nose..she had to go the the er twice to get them out..my oldest son once, when he was about 4 took a staple out of a piece of paper (the pints had been flattened down), and stuck it up his nose. luckily it didn't go deep, and I was able to get it out myself.

It was deep. he says his finger nail is sore this morning when he pushes on it(it entered in the pad of his index finger), and as much trouble as the Doctor had pulling it out, I honestly think it went into the bone(BTW it was just straight in, the staple hadn't even started to curl) and as tight as it was against his finger, something had to be used to pull it out, we couldn't have grabbed a hold of it with our fingers and pulled it out, that sucker was really in there, lol.
