Thread: What A Day!!!

As some of you know Ive been sick for the past few days. I thought I just had the flu and would start feeling better. This morning I got up from the whole 20 minutes I slept last night and felt worse.. way worse. My body felt like I couldnt move at all.

Went into the DR's office at 12:45... I was immediately told not to come out of the room and to just remain calm. I got a really weird evaluation and was again told to remain calm. Told I would need blood work done immediately. A nurse comes in and again Im told to calm down... (notice a pattern here).. they drew 2 vials of blood, did 2 strep cultures and then Im told to bend my leg in a certain angle...

Ok no problem, do all of this. The DR comes back in completely freaked out. Tells me that I might have meningitis and asks if Ive ever been to the hospital before. I tell him no and he rushes out of the room again.

Comes back to say I dont have strep but my blood counts are a tad bit high on some things and he wants to check into that a bit more....

3 hours later Im told I need to be watched after for the next 24 hours to see if this progresses into anything more and if I experience any other symptoms I need to go to the ER immediately.

So here I am... 3 advils and 1 tylenol every 6 hours for the next 24 hours...... Trying not to worry, but still a bit frightened....

Any thoughts and or prayers you have to offer would be greatly appreciated!

Have to be woken up in the morning so the DR can be called to let him know how Im progressing. Will let you all know something when I do... and hopefully I can get some sleep tonight.
