Thumbs down Stop calling my cell phone!!!

We bought a prepaid Virgin phone in case the school needs to call me (if I am online, they can't get through). Well, for the last few days, I keep getting marketing or hang ups on my phone. I have learned not to pick up a call that comes in as "restricted" or I have to pay the 25 cents.

It happened again today. I am so annoyed. The only people who have the number are my husband and the school. So I panic every time it rings.

GRRRRRRRRR! Last week it was 2 wrong numbers I had to pay for.

You should have the number changed if that is possible.

It is probably that Virgin sold a list with the #'s on it to aother companies...we found out that our Mortgage company did that. We started getting telemarketing calls & junk mail.
The only reason I found out, was because for some reason the mortgage company has my hubby's name screwed up, and it is like that on all correspondance we get from them, and then we started getting spam mail/junk mail from other companies with hubby's name mispelled the SAME EXACT WAY that the mortgage company does.

ugh. For a few weeks we had all the friends and famliy of some girl calling us. She had moved to NYC and gave them all my cell number by mistake! I finally said "Look! This is not ehr number! She does not answer this phone and ya'll are taking up my minutes!" They stopped calling. Your situation is even worse bc you can't really tell them they have the wrong number. I would call virgin asap.

I'm sorry that's happening to you. You should talk to Virgin and see if they can do something about it like other's have suggested.

I had 4 or 5 guys call my cell phone one night asking for some girl they met at a club... I have a feeling she didn't want to give out her real number so she made one up... mine! lol, I also had this one homie G guy call my phone and leave some weird messages for a friend.

I hope you can get things cleared up, that sucks that you have to pay for it too.

    **UPDATE TO THE WHINE**

My son has been sick so finally we all collapsed into our beds Friday night hoping he would sleep through...Okay, well, my cell phone goes blasting off at 12:30 am!!! I jumped out of my skin...ARG! and shut it off. I am keeping it off at night, since I only have it for school to call me.

PLEASE!!! If anyone calls anyone's cell or phone after hours, try to make sure you have the right number..we parents of sick little ones would appreciate it. And giving out a fake number, that just su#ks...

    Wink

DivineMsDi, I have a $20 top-up card that you can have. I bought it at Target, and they don't take returns. The card is good until Dec.31,2004. If you email me I will give you the code. ginakllr@yahoo.com
