I agree if insurance was going to pay for it she shouldn't have to pay a 50 dollar deposit, isn't that what she paid high premiums for in the first place and wasn't hertz the one that got the money paying contract from that company. Seems like nonsense to me too.
Seems to me I have become not only a ford fanatic but a bbs fanatic too, your all contagious!!
I'm not a complete idiot, some parts are missing!

I'm starting to feel better. I was having a lot of pain and stiffness in my neck and shoulders (yesterday I was not a happy camper), but it's going away.
I got the estimate for the repairs to my car yesterday....$5,242! Luckily, I only have a $250 deductible, and if the other driver is found to be totally at fault I won't have to pay that either. We're still waiting on the report from CHP.
Thanks again, everybody!

My husband was rear ended 3 yrs ago & injured his neck & upper back. It still bothers him sometimes. He ended up getting a settlement for the injury.
Hope you feel better soon.
That's a perfectly valid question. I wasn't taken to the hospital from the scene, because I wasn't injured. I think most folks who have been in a traffic accident will tell you that the bruises, aches and pains don't show up until later. The pain is delayed because of the adrenalin rush.
I did go to the hospital later, because my family and friends were bugging me to make sure no damage was done. But mostly I was feeling rather bruised and battered on the day this happened.
