    Angry Computer won't stay on

Everytime I log onto the internet the computer shuts down its getting to the point where it happens up to 8 times an hour. It doesn't happen if I'm not on line and I don't even have to be at a site. I get a message that "shutdown is initiated by NT Authority\system" and "remote procedure call service terminated unexpectantly" I get a one minute warning then the computer restarts. If anyone has a clue as to how to make it stop PLEASE tell me. I've run virus scan and everything and I'm clean....times up

Wanted to let you know that if this is not the problem, go to your start menu and go into programs, accessories, system tools and do a complete scan disk, which could take some time but worth it, as a friend of mine was having some problems the other day and this corrected her problem..

Go to my post in warnings/fyi.Download the patch and you will not have anymore problem.Mine shut off 8 times last night until I downloaded the patch and ran it.It was on 2 hours last night and 3 hours this morning and has not shut off.It is not an iSP problem,it is a glitch with windows,it is considered critical, because it leaves your computer wide open to hackers.

This patch is for the errors you are getting, that is exactly the error I got.I was online for no more than 10 min when it would shut off.

I have MSN and I also have norton, i got one of those things this morning saying there was a problem and my computer was going to shut down, but two seconds before that I got the automatic update on my norton anit-virus. I did a virus scan and it says there is no virus at this time. Thank goodness for northon and it's automatic updates. I'm sorry to hear about the problems people are having, my computer didn't go off, it just said windows was going to shut down, but it did not. Have a good day
