Unhappy FIRST giveanything.com gives NOTHING and then AMAZON!

I have really had it with rewards, gift certificates, etc. online! First givenothing.com owes us $350 and I have to spend loads of time sending a very specific, detailed letter to BBB in order to file a complaint against them that will take about ten weeks. AND this past Saturday I went into my Amazon account to make a purchase and my gift certificate balance, which was $179 on Friday, HAS A ZERO BALANCE! I called Amazon immediately on Saturday and they said that their Gift Certificate department would get back to me in one or two business days. TODAY is FOUR business days but they FINALLY did get back to me and told me that my GC balance is ZERO. Apparently there is nothing I can do about it either. I was stupid NOT to save all my GC's from Amazon, figured that they were honest and this disappearance act just does not happen! But it sure does!

I was depending on these GC's and my Amazon balance for gifts...boy am I sunk!

blink owes me now for seven months
memolink owes me too, for only five months
MyPoints DOES pay but I am still waiting for a WC for the past five weeks.

I NEED TO SERIOUSLY CONSIDER FORGETTING ABOUT REWARD PROGRAMS because I don't think it is worth the aggrevation!! Man, am I down!

THANKS for lending a sympathetic ear!
    c'est la vie!!

Sorry to hear about Amazon and the other places that owe you. I hope things get resolved. Keep records of gift certificates in places you won't lose them. This one time I had a $25 amazon gc and deleted it by accident before I could make a copy of the claim code. :O

Maybe perhaps it was some sort of a glitch and hopefully gets put back into your account.

    Smile Thanks!

Thanks for your words of wisdom! HUGS

zitra, I use my GC's within 3-4 months and they expire in two years.

The problem is that I have A LOT of GC's and there is NO WAY that I could keep track of waht I spend and recieve. BUT NOW I CAN..I will keep VERY CAREFUL TRACK of GC's. I have learned my lesson!!!!

AS FAR AS Giveanything.com I am MUCH MORE BITTER. Amazon has served me well for many years but this other place is just pitiful. ALL THE EMPTY PROMISES, saying they have been mailed, on and on and on!

But I have learned a lesson or two the hard way! Not too many of us have $500+ that they can just LOSE. But that is exactly what happened to me!
    c'est la vie!!
