Well. Gee thanks.
Some of you followed the story about my week-end pacient. Well. I visited her a while ago, and her children told me that she didn't have much longer. They also told me that they would let me know when she died and funeral stuff. Super Mom was looking in the obits. in the local paper. My week-ender died on June 2nd, and the service was that Saturday. NO ONE told me. Even one of her other caregivers said they would call me. I guess I wasn't that important. I mean, I was just the week-end person.
: It just kinda hurts that no one bothered to tell me. Not even the social worker. No one has let me know anything. Ah well.
Good bye Paulann. You were a great old lady. I'll miss you! You're welcome for my time. Thanks for teaching me.

sometimes it is best to let them leave the world with the picture we had of them before they died.....it may of been her request that you not know so you are not so sad about her departing. Some people do not want a lot of people at their funneral because they want them to remember them as they were before they got bad. You were there when it counted and that is all that matters......so yes U DID MATTER.....Tom

I agree! That is a very good point. You were there when she needed you. I am sure you were a blessing to her.
