Sorry about your problems, the best news is that they've found the problem. If they just take the utureus (sp) they call it a partial hysterometry. I had mine removed over 20 years ago.
With no utureus, just think, no more need for those fancy mancy kotex you used before. No utureus no monthly. It could throw you into hot flahes also.
Let us know, keep us posted!!!

I've been taking HRT for about three months now and it's been great. I'm perimenopausal and it has helped so much I wish I had done it sooner.

I'm glad they found out what's wrong. Now on with the surgery and let's put an end to all of this.

Unless your ovaries are really scarred, why remove them?
My Mom had a partial hysterectomy when she was 27. She's now 60 and still has her ovaries. She had really bad female troubles all her life. They wanted to do a total hysterectomy on her when she was 13!
Can you imagine how scared she was, no wonder she doesn't trust doctors. Anywho, she went through menopause at about the normal age and still has her ovaries.
There's a simple blood test to check for ovarian cancer.
Take the test yearly if you feel you need to.
Doctors can also examine your ovaries with ultrasound or just by hand (I know you did not need to hear that LOL)
If you keep your ovaries, there will be no need for hormone therapy!
It's something to really discuss with your doctor and your family.
BUT remember, it's your body. Not your doctor or your family's
I'll send some positive energies your way.
    Blessed Be!

I forgot to mention the "arousal" issue. It won't be much of a problem if you keep your ovaries. You uterus does produce different hormones but the main production comes from your ovaries
Even if you do have a complete hysterectomy, you can't possibly get aroused with all the pain your in right now, so you'll be no worse off, you'll BOTH just have to work a little harder to get aroused.
    Blessed be!
