    Angry OMG! My cat!

I am so tired of catching my cat with little birdies in her mouth! She is an outside cat and has been terrorizing the birds in our neighborhood! I know that it is in their nature to do this, but she has never done this before and we have had her for 3 years. She is older than that, tho. She actually brought a live one into the house last night in her mouth! I heard birds going crazy just a few minutes ago and went outside and sure enough she had another one I took it away from her (it was alive)and I scolded her good. She drives me crazy!!

    Is she spayed? Mothering instinct?
Even if she is spayed, it's SPRING! It's time to catch the birdies
She sounds like a good cat who has a lot of energy and time on her paws!
The birds will learn to give her a wide birth

    LOL!! You are right

Yep, she is spayed. She just likes to catch 'em and kill 'em and leave 'em all over our yard and drag 'em in the house and play with 'em. You are right tho. It is spring, and I think alot of 'em are falling out of the nest and then she gets them. We watched her one day go by a tree and one had fallen out and the momma bird was dive bombing her. She is a crazy cat anyway

when a cat brings you a gift that is their way of saying they love you my cat is 16 years old and he still brings me little gifts.

he brought home humming birds ( still alive)
    doves (still alive)
    lizards ( still alive)
that is just their way of saying they love you.

My cat used to do that all the time... he would actually lay beneath the bird feeder and catch them when they were eating... we had to stop putting out food.

My cat used to be so scared of mice when he was a kitten... Well like 15 yrs later, I think it finally hit him that he isn't human... LOL

Believe it or not, that is her way of bringing you a present. She is very proud of her hunting skills and wants you to praise her. I have been lucky to only get dead field mice for gifts! Good luck, as I do not think you will break her of it.

He said to tie a bell on the collar and the little birds would hear him coming. When we stopped him from sneaking up on the birds we solved the problem.
Great idea! i'm gonna have to get one, thanks!!

The bell on the collar is what worked for me too. The cat hated it, but the birds were happy!
