I just wanted to say that even though you are having doubts-I think its awesome that you are showing the confidence to go anyway. You should be proud of yourself for that.

Just go and have a good time. Sit back when you first get there and give everyone else a good look-over. You will be surprised in the changes, especially in the males. The boys who were not so good looking in high school matured into great looking men. The people who were nice then will still be nice now and if it is terrible you can leave. You will never know if you don't go. Have fun.
I did not go to my 10 year. My 20 year is in 2005 and I'll NOT go to it either! WHY? None of those people wanted to talk to me back in 1985! Why should I go see how their lives turned out! I don't give a Flying Fark! I'm happy with my life JUST FINE!
Of course, if you want to go to yours, you should go and have fun!;)
I refused to go to my 10th. And I will probably refuse to go to my 20th. Why? Becuase of the 36 people in my graduating class, 1/2 are kin to me and I see them too much as it is, part of those left are total butts and I refuse to acknowledge their existance if at all possible, some of the people(guys) I hung around with are now married and their wives wont let them speak to me in the WalMart, and the rest, well, I talk to them as often as I please adn thats all I need.
Plus, I dont need to hear all the BS abotu who is doing what and who has what and who is so perfect, especially since the Owensboro paper prints bankruptcies with names AND amounts. Betwen this and other legitimate sources, I know more about some of these people than their own parents do. I also dont need th aggravation of people snickering at me because the guy I went to the senior prom with is now in prison and I am married to a man 25 yrs older than me. I get enough of that from the idiots that are my cousins that I see at family reunions. If my grandfather wasnt dying, I wouldnt go to those either.
You wouldn't be talking about the reunion in Iowa, would you???
Bwahaha MY 20 year reunion is coming up then, too. Not going either. You couldn't pay me enough to go to Iowa in July. Or June. Or January for that crowd. ;)
YOU GO GIRL! I started WW 8 weeks ago and have lost 14 pounds. I joined because my reunion is coming in November and I was 50 pounds overweight...now I'm doing it 'cuz I need to do it for me. If WW teaches you anything, it is that your health is the MOST important thing. Go to the reunion if you want or, if you're really really uncomfortable, don't go. Plan for your next one!Quote:

I know that is terribly vain, and I have started weight watchers, but it will take over a year to lose what I want to lose. I was thinking of a black dress, and nice makeup and just going and have fun and to heck with it, but I just am ashamed of how I look. Silly, I know.
If you want a buddy to talk to/lose with...email me at [email protected].
lol i know about the owensboro papers:rolleyes:  :o :p lol im from lewisport so trust me i know;) :eek:Quote:

:D
You are pretty close to me. Still aint going to any of my reunions though. Well, unless I win the lottery and lose LOTS of weight and get my Masters degree.
I have a 20th reunion for the school I graduated from in 1985 in 2005. I hope to have my big ol' butt reduced by then a little.
MomfromTN, I'm glad you're going to your reunion. When I went to my 10th, I looked like who did it and ran!! I had just had a baby and had gained a lot of weight and all that good stuff. I went anyway and ended up having a great time. I also went to my 20th reunion and had a ball. The funny part is that I was one of the "unpopulars" and most of my friends were from another town. The thing I noticed is that most of the people finally grew up and it made it very pleasant. As a matter of fact, at my 20th, one of the guys that used to pick on me constantly, actually came up to me and apologized for treating me the way he did! I was floored. And it turns out that he is a nice person and we sat and talked for a long time. Kind of restored my faith in human nature a bit. I missed my 25th this past November because I moved out of state and couldn't afford to go. :(
Just go and have fun. It's a night out!
if i won the lottery you better believe id go!!!! they say money shouldnt change people by heck itd change me:D ;)  :DQuote:
