What a waste. She was an incredible talent, not my kind of music, but she had an amazing voice.

An examination had not been scheduled and that investigators are awaiting reports before an autopsy could be conducted, Capt. Brian Elias of the Los Angeles County coroner's office told The Associated Press.

Houston's publicist, Kristen Foster, said the cause of death was unknown.

Rosen said police received a 911 call from hotel security about Houston at 3:43 p.m. Saturday. Paramedics who were already at the hotel because of a Grammy party unsuccessfully tried to resuscitate the singer, he said.

TMZ.com reported that Houston's body was found in the hotel room's bathtub, but by the time emergency services arrived she had been removed so it would take an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

TMZ also reported that there was no evidence that Houston had been drinking alcohol in the room, although various bottles of pills had been discovered.

Bobbi Kristina, Whitney Houston's Daughter, Released from Hospital
By LUCHINA FISHER | Good Morning America – 2 hours 56 minutes ago

Bobbi Kristina Brown, the only child of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, seems to be taking her mother's death the hardest.

Beverly Hills Police told ABC News that an ambulance was called this morning to the Beverly Hilton Hotel, where Bobbi Kristina was staying with her mother, in response to a concern about her health. The 18-year-old was said to be suffering from anxiety.

According to a press release sent to ABC News, Bobbi Kristina was transported from the hotel at 10:26 a.m. local time to Cedars-Sinai Hospital and was "awake and alert" at the time.

A family source told ABCNews.com that she was being "treated for stress and anxiety." She has since been released. "It's going to be very hard for her," Ian Drew, senior editor of Us Weekly, told ABCNews.com.

In the hours after her mother was discovered not breathing in the bathtub of a Beverly Hilton Hotel room, Bobbi Kristina was reportedly turned away from seeing her. Earlier, TMZ reported that Bobbi Kristina got into a shouting match with police officers outside her mother's fourth floor hotel room when they informed her no one was allowed in. TMZ said she "screamed, cursed and demanded to see her mother" before ultimately leaving.

Houston's cousin Dionne Warwick was also turned away by officers, according to TMZ.

But Bobbi Kristina was more than just close to her mother; she became her caretaker as the six-time Grammy winner struggled with addiction. "Bobbi Kristina basically grew up her mother's caretaker, similar to Frances Bean," Drew said, comparing her to the daughter of singers Courtney Love and Kurt Cobain. "In a way she was the adult in relationship," Drew said.

Houston finally divorced Brown, 43, in 2007 and entered rehab last spring.

Afterward, she seemed to be making up for lost time with Bobbi Kristina, who, like her mother, was an aspiring singer and actress -- apparently with her own impressive voice. Mother and daughter had begun working together on songs in the recording studio, according to Us Weekly. "She idolized Whitney," a source told the magazine, and "wanted to be just like her mother."

One way she was unlike her mother: She didn't do drugs. After The National Enquirer published photographs last May that appeared to show the 18-year-old snorting cocaine, her father Bobby Brown told ABC News Now, "I don't know anything about that. My daughter, she doesn't, she doesn't do that."

Bobbi Kristina also defended herself on Twitter a day after the photos came out, saying she was "set up" by a money-hungry ex-boyfriend because of "a horrible relationship that went sour." "It's really not what it looks like," she wrote.

The morning after Clive Davis' Grammy party turned into a celebratory tribute, details surrounding the death of Whitney Houston began to emerge.

The singer was found unconscious and submerged in the bathtub of her room at the Beverly Hilton by her hairdresser Saturday afternoon, according to TMZ. She called security, paramedics were summoned and a bodyguard attempted to resuscitate her via CPR, but Houston was declared dead at 3:55 p.m.

An autopsy was scheduled for today but police weren't talking about the investigation Sunday and said there would be no updates until Monday. Police were no longer at the hotel, but a spokesman would not confirm the investigation was concluded.

Whitney Houston's Brother-In-Law Insists Death Was 'Accidental'

Whitney Houston's brother-in-law vehemently denied today that the singer had any intention of committing suicide.

"Oh, no, this is accidental," Billy Watson told ABCNews.com. "She wouldn't have left her daughter like that. She wouldn't have done that to her daughter."

Watson, whose sister is married to Houston's brother, Gary, also said the family is flying back to New Jersey from California today and Tuesday, but there's no word on funeral plans. (how does that make him her brother in law??)

Los Angeles assistant chief coroner Ed Winter maintained at a news conference today that officials do not know the 48-year-old singer's cause of death. He confirmed to ABC News' L.A. affiliate KABC that officials found prescription bottles in Houston's hotel room, but said there wasn't anything "alarming" or "out of the ordinary" about them.

They were all "pretty normal" prescriptions, Winter said, adding, "I have more prescriptions than what was found in her [Houston's] room." (WTH does that mean??)

TMZ reported earlier today that family sources briefed by coroner officials were told Houston likely died from a combination of the drug Xanax and other prescription medication mixed with alcohol.

Houston's aunt, Mary Jones, found the singer's body in the bathtub after laying out a dress for Clive Davis' pre-Grammy party that Houston was set to attend Saturday night, sources told TMZ. She attempted to perform CPR; half an hour later, at 3:45 p.m., someone from Houston's entourage called hotel security. (WTH? Why did it take a HALF HOUR to get around to calling security? And why call SECURITY?? Call 911 for Pete's sake!!)

TMZ reported that on Friday night, Bobbi Kristina fell asleep in another bathtub at the Beverly Hilton. Friends had to contact hotel security so she could be removed from the tub. (Seriously......WTH?? Why is this starting to sound like a double suicide??)

No shocking news here.....it was a train wreck that was coming for years. The usual story, got caught up in drugs and couldn't get out. Sad, but not unexpected.

Even if Whitney wasn't doing drugs at the time of her death, her health was ravaged by the prior drug use. The reports of her sweating, shaking and pale earlier in the day would lead one to assume a heart attack.

What killed her will all turn out to be all legal, Xanax, other prescription medication and alcohol.

Bobbi Kristina Brown moved to Emory Hospital in Atlanta
    Posted: Jan 31, 2015 11:29 AM CST

ROSWELL, GA (CBS46) - Bobbi Kristina Brown was moved to Emory University Hospital in Atlanta on Monday after originally being taken to North Fulton Hospital in Roswell on Saturday, according to CNN.

Whitney Houston's daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown was rushed to the hospital Saturday after she was found unresponsive in a bathtub.

While North Fulton Hospital confirms Brown is no longer a patient there, Emory University Hospital would not confirm she is a patient at its facility. Sources said Brown is still in a medically-induced coma and has not regained consciousness since Saturday and is currently not reacting to tests performed by doctors.

Her first cousin, Jerod Brown, told CBS46 Reporter Daniel Wilkerson on Tuesday that her brain pressure has decreased, but a source said doctors said that improvement alone is no indication her health is improving. Sources tell CBS46 that the family of Bobbi Kristina Brown has been told to "prepare for the worst."

The daughter of singers Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston, was found face down and unresponsive in a bathtub on Saturday in her Roswell-area home. Roswell police responded to a 911 call about the 21-year-old at about 10:30 a.m. The incident report stated paramedics were told to respond to a drowning.

Police said her husband, Nick Gordon, and a friend, identified as Maxwell Lomas, found her and started CPR until police and paramedics arrived.

Radar Online is reporting that Lomas is an ex-boyfriend of Brown. Additionally, CBS46's Adam Harding reported that Lomas was arrested as recently as three weeks ago for allegedly possessing pot with the intent to distribute, and that he was in possession of the prescription drug Alprazolam, which can be used to help treat anxiety.

Celebrity gossip website TMZ.com reported that sources connected to the family said Bobbi Kristina has "significantly diminished' brain function and... it does not look good." CBS46 is working to confirm that report.

Near anniversary of Whitney Houston's death

Brown's mother, Whitney Houston, passed away nearly three years ago on Feb. 11, 2012. The Grammy Award-winning singer was found unresponsive in a bathtub on the eve of the Grammy Awards. According to a coroner's report, she accidentally drowned. Heart disease and cocaine use were listed as contributing factors.

    Search warrant on home

Police executed a search warrant for Bobbi Brown's home, but they would not elaborate on the reason. Investigators said they have not yet found anything at the home indicating whether drugs or alcohol played a factor.

    Previous incidents

CBS46 has learned police were called to the home on Jan. 23, because of a fight. However, when officers arrived, no one was at the residence. Additionally, a restraining order was filed against Gordon in March 2014 by Brown's aunt, Marion Houston. The order required Gordon to remain 200 yards away from his wife.

    Family remains by her side

A confidential source, who was inside the hospital with the family for a good part of the day on Saturday, told CBS46 that Brown was in the intensive care unit. Doctors did stabilized her breathing.

Family and friends have gathered at the hospital. According to the source, Bobby Brown is at the hospital after arriving in Atlanta on Saturday on Tyler Perry's jet. Perry, apparently, was flying to Atlanta and offered to bring him. The source told CBS46 on Saturday that although Bobbi Kristina Brown is still unconscious, the mood is positive. She is breathing but is in a medically induced coma. "Privacy is requested in this matter. Please allow for my family to deal with this matter and give my daughter the love and support she needs at this time," said Bobby Brown in a statement Sunday.

    Cousin talks to CBS46

On Monday, CBS46's Daniel Wilkerson spoke to Bobbi Kristina Brown's cousin. "My family is doing alright but of course it's not easy seeing your family hurt like that, so like I said man, I just want everybody to continue to pray for BK," said Jerod Brown.

Doctors tell Bobby Brown it's time to take daughter Bobbi Kristina off life support
Feb 05, 2015 3:41 PM CST By Vanzetta Evans

    ATLANTA (CBS46) -
Doctors at Emory University Hospital have told singer Bobby Brown there is in nothing more they can do for his daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown according to entertainment website TMZ.com. The source says the father was told it is time to take his daughter off life support.

Bobby Brown will ultimately have to make the decision. Today is also his birthday.

Daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown has been in a medically induced coma since Saturday. She was discovered face down in a bathtub by the man believed to be her husband, Nick Gordon. Her family announced this week that Gordon is not legally the woman's husband.

Bobbi Kristina is also the daughter of the late Whitney Houston. Houston died nearly three years ago on Feb. 11, 2012. The mother was found unresponsive in a bathtub.

Bobbi Kristina Brown is going home to 'die peacefully'

Although Bobbi Kristina Brown has been unresponsive for months, she may be on the verge of leaving the hospital.

According to the Daily Mail, the daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown "is being taken home to die peacefully."

Bobbi Kristina has been unresponsive since she was found face down in a bathtub on January 31. Sources have said the Brown family is adamant that they will do anything possible to save Bobbi Kristina and they will never take her off of life support. However, it's believed that her brain damage is irreversible.

According to the Daily Mail, the 22-year-old will be moved to the house in which she lived with Whitney. Bobby, though, is said to be against the move.

In May, Radar Online reported that Bobbi Kristina would be moved. "They are planning to keep her in Georgia and possibly bring her back to the townhouse," a source said. "That was her home and her mom's home. If they can bring her back it would be great. If she's alive, then let her be home and surrounded by beautiful photos of her mom. It's as good as it gets in such a bad situation."

Last month, People Magazine quoted a source who said that there was essentially no chance Bobby would take his daughter off of life support.

"I don't think he'll ever go there," the source said. "If there's a 2 percent chance, a 1 percent chance, a 0.1 percent chance, he will keep hope alive."

Bobbi's grandmother, Cissy Houston, recently said that Bobbi Kristina hasn't made any progress in the hospital and that she's simply leaving everything in God's hands.

"She's not gone yet, but you know, whatever the Lord decides, I'm ready for her," she told ET. "I have nothing to do with that. That's His job. It's His territory, you know? And I understand it."

Bobbi Kristina Brown Being Sued Over Car Crash That Happened Three Days Before Tragic Bathtub Incident
    July 3rd, 2015 4:17pm E

Bobbi Kristina Brown has been hit with a lawsuit over a car accident that happened three days before she was found unresponsive in the bathtub of her Roswell, Georgia home.

Brown, who was hospitalized in late January and is currently in hospice care following the near-drowning, was involved in a car crash just before the tragic incident, and a Georgia man who was injured in the accident is now seeking nearly three-quarters of a million dollars in damages for personal injury and "extensive damage" to his own vehicle.

Russell Eckerman, 41, of Marietta, Georgia, filed the suit last Friday, naming Bobbi Kristina's guardians, singer Bobby Brown and aunt Pat Houston, along with conservator Bedelia Hargrove. Eckerman's suit also names the Ford Motor Company because both the seat belt and airbag of his Ford Taurus didn't work correctly.

According to New York's Daily News, Eckerman was bleeding from his head and had no pulse. He spent days in the hospital in critical condition after paramedics revived him following the crash.

Investigators determined that one of the tires on Bobbi Kristina's Jeep Liberty had a blowout, causing her to lose control. A nail was even found in the tire.

Eckerman has a case and a pile of medical bills amassed from his injury, but his suit comes at a bad time for Brown's family.

The statute of limitations for filing a personal injury lawsuit in the state of Georgia (and most of the country) is two years, so as Bobbi Kristina, 22, clings to life in a Georgia hospice with her family gathered around her awaiting her final breaths, they'll now have to deal with this as well.
