Episode 2: Sonoma, CA (18 to 16)
1-on-1: Kacie Boguskie. They watch home movies of each other and also go shopping in town where she buys a baton and shows off her baton twirling skills. She was a majorette at the University of Tennessee, so I guess she’s excellent in handling long, hard poles. Too easy.
Group Date: 12 of the women audition for a play put on by children. This was documented in real time back in September when this piece from the Sonoma News came out entitled “The Bachelor Invades Sonoma”. Still awesome to this day and they deserve an Emmy.
1-on-1: Courtney Robertson. They go on a picnic, Ben’s dog Scotch makes an appearance, and Ben develops a boner for Courtney that lasts all season.
Rose Ceremony Eliminations: Jenna Burke and Shawn Reynolds.
Episode 3: San Francisco, CA (16 to 13)
While in San Fransisco before any of the dates start, Ben meets up with his sister Julia at the Grove on Chestnut street and they ride around on a vespa. When I was first given this picture back on Sept. 27th, I was told this was a 1-on-1 date with one of the girls who hadn’t been identified yet. It wasn’t. It’s Ben and his sister Julia. Hey, if his dog gets to make an appearance the previous episode, surely they’d give his sister some run.
1-on-1: Emily O’Brien. They scale the Bay Bridge and see fireworks. Also during this date, there is a telescope conveniently placed on the balcony at the Fairmont hotel where the rest of the women are staying, and the women can see Ben & Emily kissing from their view.
Group Date: Closed down one of the streets in San Francisco, brought in fake snow and 11 of the girls went skiing.
1-on-1: Lindzi Cox. Took a trolley around town, went to a “Speak Easy” at a place called “Bourbon and Branch”, then headed to a private concert at City Hall put on by Matt Nathanson.
This will be the episode most talk about in the early part of the season for all the sh** that goes down.
-After the group skiing date, they all got dressed and had an after party at the Tonga Room. It was during this time that Brittney, the woman whose grandmother introduced her, voluntarily leaves the show.
-It was also established in San Francisco that contestant Samantha Leavy had fallen for producer Bennett Graebner. Nothing physical ever happened between the two, but Samantha told producers she didn’t want to be there anymore because she had feelings for someone else, somehow they convinced her to stay another episode, and that was that. I am not sure if this storyline will ever make air because Bennett is married with kids, but hey, it sure made for some good dirt. So whatever BS reason they show for Samantha leaving in Utah, just know it’s because of that.
-At the cocktail party before the rose ceremony at the Farimont hotel is where Shawntel Newton, the mortician during Brad’s season, comes back to “enter” the game. The details behind her appearance were given to you back on Oct. 7th. Here’s what I wrote:
-Shawntel first appears on the show at the cocktail party on the night of the San Francisco rose ceremony, which was last Friday night.

Her reasoning for being on the show? Well, she wanted to date Ben. If you go back to her Twitter account during Ashley’s season, Shawntel made it known to the whole world she had a crush on Ben. I’m guessing this is where they got the idea to bring her on.
-Shawntel shows up at the Fairmont hotel during the cocktail party and talks to Ben. Essentially tells him she thinks there could be something between them, they live close to each other, and she’d like the chance to date him, but, she will leave it up to him by giving him a chance to think about it and decide at the rose ceremony if he wants to give her a rose.
-Well, that pretty much backfired since Ben does not give her a rose at the rose ceremony and she’s sent home.
What’s funny in all this is I’m guessing Shawntel was pretty confident Ben would want to keep her around, or else why would she agree to do it? And hell, I’m sure the producers thought he’d keep her around. I’ve heard from numerous sources that Ben and Shawntel had definitely had communication before last Friday night in terms of speaking with each other. I don’t think they’d ever met up, or gone out on a date, but I know they had texted, emailed, and tweeted each other before. So naturally, she probably thought she had a chance. I guess Ben didn’t since he sent her packing a few hours after she arrives. Sucks for her.
-Erika Uhlig faints during the rose ceremony while Ben is passing out the roses.
Rose Ceremony Eliminations: Erika Uhlig and Jaclyn Swartz. Brittney has already eliminated herself during the after party of the group date and Shawntel never receives a rose from him after showing up.
Here’s a brief summary of episodes 4, 5, & 6 in terms of the eliminations. Episode 4 is in Utah and they begin with 13 girls. Episode 6 is in Panama and at the end of that episode, they have 6 girls left. Which means 7 girls total were eliminated in Utah, Puerto Rico, and Panama. Without a doubt, the 7 girls eliminated in these three episodes were:
Monica Spannbauer
Samantha Leavy
Jamie Otis
Blakeley Shea
Casey Shteamer
Elyse Myers
Jennifer the red head
These next 3 episode summaries are where I had the least amount of my information, so, the dates aren’t complete, and some of the eliminations might be off by an episode, but all you need to know is those 7 girls are eliminated during these three episodes, and I do my best to break it down based on what info I had.
Episode 4: (In Utah, 13 down to 11 or 10)
1-on-1: Jennifer. First she had dinner and a gondola ride, then they attended a Clay Walker concert. Damn that I can’t get this girls last name. Driving me bonkers. This is what I wrote in my blog back on Oct. 6th when I confirmed this date:
“As for the Clay Walker date on Tuesday night in Park City, Utah, it was the end of a 1-on-1 date with the red head in the Sonoma group picture. She’s the girl on the far right on the bottom row. Her name is Jennifer and she’s from Oklahoma City. Don’t know her last name or have any other pictures of her, but I’m guessing I will soon. She had a rose on her, so she was safe at the rose ceremony. Ben and Jennifer (or Bennifer for all those people who can’t type two names) arrived during Clay’s performance and they danced to the song “She Won’t Be Lonely Long.” After that song, they slow danced to a ballad of a song that hasn’t been released yet called “Like We Never Said Goodbye,” so I’m sure when it airs, the song will be on itunes the next day or something. At the end of the ballad Ben kissed her, and Clay asked him, “So is she a good kisser?” and Ben replied she was the best kisser thus far. He asked the same to Jennifer and she said Ben was a great kisser as well. The End.”
Group Date: Fly fishing.
Rose Ceremony Eliminations: Definitely Monica Spannbauer and Samantha Leavy were eliminated this episode, but, if they eliminated 3 this episode and only took 10 to Puerto Rico, then Elyse Myers went home here. I think they only did 2 though.

Episode 5: (In Puerto Rico, either 10 or 11 down to 8 )
The dates that I do know are:
1-on-1: Nicki Sterling. Ben is dressed in a white suit and hat looking basically like a douchier Ricky Ricardo, and they head to Old San Juan to visit some wedding chapel.
Group Date: Baseball Date. Some guy in Puerto Rico with a Twitter account posted this picture in October during a baseball group date that Ben had with eight of the women
Not sure what the other date was in this city, but this is the episode where Ben and Courtney go skinny dipping and show their bare asses to all of America. Courtney? Can’t wait. Ben? Not so much.
Rose Ceremony Eliminations: Pretty sure it was Jamie Otis and Jennifer. If three people were eliminated on this date, and Elyse did make it Puerto Rico, then I’m pretty sure she went home here.
Episode 6: (In Panama, 8 down to 6)1-on-1: Kacie Boguskie. This is the only date I know about in Panama. I’ve got nothing from this city. I know about this date because it’s shown in the previews of her and Ben with a fishing net in the water.
Group Date: Boat ride in the Panamanian jungle then they spend the day with a local tribe painting their faces and wearing tribal clothing.
Rose Ceremony Eliminations: Definitely Blakeley Shea and possibly Casey Shteamer. Unless Casey was eliminated the previous episode, then swap her out for whichever girl wasn’t – Jamie or Jennifer.
Episode 7: (In Belize, 6 down to 4)
Definitely 100% confirmed that the six girls who made it to Belize were Emily, Courtney, Lindzi, Kacie, Rachel, and Nicki because pictures were posted online by another blogger which I linked to back when it happened, but they had to remove those pics from their blog because, well, I believe ABC strong armed them to. Not sure if roses were on the line in any of these dates. All I know is which two girls went home this episode.
1-on-1: Lindzi Cox. Jump from a helicopter into the Great Blue Hole. Kinda like how Sawyer did in “Lost”, right? I wonder if Belize disappears after they jump. Or maybe Ben moved the island.
1-on-1: Emily O’Brien. Pictures from her date, plus a local bloggers description of what she saw was at SanPedroScoop.com, which you can read by clicking here.
Group Date: Girls go swimming with the sharks.
1-on-1: Courtney Robertson. They visit the Mayan Ruins, a picture that was clearly shown during the promos.
Rose Ceremony Eliminations: Emily O’Brien and Rachel Truehart.

Episode 8: Hometowns (4 down to 3)Kacie Boguskie (Clarksville, TN)
Courtney Robertson (Scottsdale, AZ
Nicky Sterling (Hurst, Tx)
Lindzi Cox (Ocala, Fla)
Rose Ceremony Elimination: Kacie Boguskie
Episode 9: Overnight Dates (In Switzerland, 3 down to 2)
Rose Ceremony Elimination: Nicki Sterling.
Episode 10--The girls tell all
Episode 11: (In Switzerland, Lindzi Cox vs. Courtney Robertson)
-The final rose ceremony took place Wednesday, November 16th at a location on the mountain called Sunnegga, with the Matterhorn as the backdrop
So with Lindzi Cox and Courtney Robertson to choose from, who did Ben choose? The easy going, horse riding chick, or the girl with the potty mouth that seemed to be disliked by the others in the house and went skinny dipping with him in Puerto Rico? Naturally, Ben went with his head.
Ben got engaged to Courtney Robertson in Switzerland, and is still engaged to her today (Yes, he went with THAT head).
