    Skating with the Stars

Anyone watch it? I was actually surprised at how well all the non-professional skaters did after only a few weeks. I would have been bruised from head to toe from falling...LOL.

My only problem with the show is that the host and the judges are 'flat'. They have no personality. Dick Button is the only one to have any personality...I guess because he has done so much 'on-air' commentating in the past. Johnny Weir has a very strong personality...at least when I've seen him on talk shows. On this show...I keep wondering where he went. He couldn't be more dull or un-expressive. And who is that choreographer chick? She annoys the heck out of me.
Never argue with an idiot. It will bring you down to his level and he’ll win because of experience.

    I saw the first episode.
Yeah, that female judge is a joke! Eghhh..
I love Johnny Weir, he's FABULOUS!
I doubt the show will last, probably won't even be on air before the competition ends.
I watched it on hulu, so I could fast forward thru most of it.
I probably won't watch anymore... only if I'm extrememly bored and have nothing better to do.

They tried this a few years ago on Fox and it didn't last long then either. Can't remember what it was called but it is the same premise. It died a quick death.

Yep...hubby and I have been trying to remember what that show was called. I remember that the winners actually ended up marrying each other. The professional skater left his wife and married the actress (who was the original Buffy from the movie).

The one thing that I noticed with this new version is that the non-professional skaters seem to be doing better than what I remember from that original show.

I agree...most of the show is very boring. Watching it on DVR or Hulu seems a much better option because you can fast forward through all the filler.

when "dancing with the stars" came out, fox tried to have their version with "skating with celebrities" and yea, it was a big FLOP!
