Survivor: Nicaragua - Season 21 ...Spoilers

    Filming Dates: June 14 - July 22

    Premiere Date: Fall 2010

Several message board posters have indicated that the Survivor: Nicaragua tribes may be divided by age
SmokeitGood: "I'm pretty confident we have an old vs. young season of some sort"

Guatemala Fanfic: "The cast definitely has more 'older' people than a typical season, so a divide at maybe 35+ for the older tribe could be very possible. The older people are fans and applicants also, so I'm sure many of you will be happy about that. And more applicants means better state diversity."

Missaye: "This season will pit a group of 40 years and older players against a group of 30 years and younger players. The Orange/yellow tribe is named LaFlor and their players are 30 and under. The blue tribe are the 40 and older players and their tribe name is Espada. "

    Tribe Colors:

    Blue Tribe

    Yellow/Orange Tribe

    Tribal Names:

    Espada - Blue Tribe

    La Flor - Orange/Yellow Tribe

Survivor Nicaragua’s not-quite-remote location in a rather touristy area has resulted in photos that show actual challenges plus production areas.Photos posted to Survivor Sucks that were taken mid-June, apparently before the production began, show challenges and potential camp locations. Most impressive and notable are two massive pyramids that resemble the Price is Right game Plinko. Close-up photos of the pyramid challenge reveal the tribe’s names: La Flor and Espada, which apparently come from the name of a Nicaraguan beach and the word for sword, respectively.

In addition, a scanned newspaper article about the production says that the show has closed several beaches: “Escameca, Escamecita, the South part of Yankee, Hermosa, and Tamarindo and El Toro/Mixcal.”

About tribe names, ''Espada'' is spanish for Sword as someone mentioned earlier and if you check, the name has 2 pair of swords around it. Also, the second time ''La Flor'' its spanish for something like ''The Flower'' and if you check, it has this ''Fleur the Lis'' around it similar to the ones someone posted earlier on.

There is a rumor that has to do specifically with former NFL coach Jimmy Johnson, who is reportedly among the cast for "Survivor: Nicaragua" after having tried out for a number of seasons in the past. Medical issues have been a problem for the 67-year old, but he is a major fan of the game.

it is confirmed..he is on the cast!

    New link about Jimmy Johnson...

    Updated: Jul 21, 2010 10:48 AM

Jimmy Johnson talks with KTUL while with Oklahoma State in 1983.

Former Oklahoma State and NFL coach Jimmy Johnson is tackling a new challenge -- bug-eating.

ESPNDallas.com is reporting that the 67-year-old former coach will be on the 21st season of Survivor, which will take place in Nicaragua.

The biggest question right now is -- how will Jimmy keep his infamous hair in place without his hair spray?

Johnson coached at Oklahoma State from 1979 to 1983, taking the Cowboys to a pair of bowl games, including a victory in the Bluebonnet Bowl, an 8-4 record and a No. 18 ranking in the final coaches' poll in 1983.

He went on to win a national championship at the University of Miami and had an 80-64 record in nine seasons with the NFL's Dallas Cowboys and Miami Dolphins.

He's now a studio analyst for Fox Sports.

Former OSU head coach Pat Jones says this is actually Johnson's third try at making the show.

This isn't the first time for a Dallas Cowboys connection on the reality series. Five years ago, former quarterback Gary Hogeboom finished seventh place on "Survivor: Guatemala".

I'm totally stoked about JJ. Being from Texas, I guess that's predictable... but man, Fabio being on there would completely ruin it for me. Well, I say that... he may turn out to be an ok guy away from everyone pushing his ego... I guess we'll find out.
