Question Dr. Phil-Brat camp...Anyone watching it?

Did he really say if you want your kids to do something that they need to be rewarded for it?

Is this what he actually said that this is stated in his book "Family first"

I watched part 1 & 2. All I saw Dr.Phil do is lecture these parents to change their behavior. He didn't really seem to give them much guidance on how to get the behavior changed in the children. It's as if he said read my book & do what it says.

When Dr.phil was asked how they the parents could get their kids to change Dr.phil got all defensive & said he was wasting his time.

I watched it. The longer I did watch it the more I wanted to go through the TV and slap the chit out of those parents who have allowed their children to be so rotten. They can't blame anyone but themselves.

I didn't see it today but did last week. I do feel sorry for the one woman whose daughter died. It's obvious she can't get over her grief and as she says has checked out as a mother.

She is divorced from the father so the boy has no strong father in the house to disipline him. He runs over his mother but he also has the problem of a broken home as well as his sister dying. A lot for a 9 year old to deal with.

The discussion boards are interesting. People seem to agree with those on here.
