David with the pushy father can go anytime. I think he has a beautiful voice but he just isn't right for so many kinds of songs. He seems like he ought to be singing opera or something.
I don't think they have anyone who stands out like the years past. There is not a one of them that would upset me to see him/her go.
I too like rock and they just haven't had enough of it. My favorite of all the past winners is Taylor Hicks. I also like some of Rubin's singing. But I haven't seem much of either of them since they won. I also like Clay's singing. I think if they voted again his chance of winning could be better than Rubins. There truly was a phone problem. My sil worked in NC for the phone company at the time of that voting.
