Ivette would have lost either way and I think she knew that and that is why she took Maggie with her because she didnt want Janelle to have the money.

Not quite true. If Janelle had gone with Ivette there would have been three votes Janelle and four votes Ivette. (That's assuming the 'groups' styed true to form.)
