Spilling His Guts – FBI Gives Immunity To Clinton Server Insider

Posted on March 3, 2016 by Rick Wells

Hillary Clinton continues to make her claims that there’s nothing to this whole espionage violation stuff, arguments which are in the process of becoming increasingly weaker by the day as the FBI continues their investigation. One reason Mrs. Clinton’s position is worsening considerably is the granting by the FBI of immunity to Bryan Pagliano.

He’s a former Clinton State Department staffer who set up Hillary Clinton’s infamous server at the Chappaqua, New York home in 2009 and handled its security. Pagliano had previously worked for Clinton as the IT manager for her failed 2008 presidential campaign.

Pagliano was by the subpoenaed by the Benghazi Select Committee in September of last year but refused to testify citing his Fifth Amendment protection against self-incrimination. His attorney acknowledged at the time that the “current political environment” made it controversial for him to invoke the Fifth Amendment, but that is what he did. He must have had a good reason.

Whatever that good reason was has now evaporated with the granting of immunity. Removing the threat of prosecution removes the basis for any refusal to answer and indications are that he is now cooperating with investigators.

Although Pagliano worked as the State Department, he was paid personally by Clinton for his work on the server which contained government information. He’s very fortunate that the FBI offered him the deal that they did. He was likely in some serious personal jeopardy as well.

The first video below is from a report at the time that Pagliano initially declined to testify. The second one is an extremely good timeline and accounting of the case against Hillary Clinton and why she has every reason to be very concerned.

“He was likely in some serious personal jeopardy as well.”
Only one thing, with Clintons he may still be in some serious jeopardy.

A brief guide to Clinton scandals from Travelgate to Emailgate
    By Mark Tapscott • 4/12/15 3:21 PM

Hillary Clinton is entering the presidential race in a cloud of scandal surrounding foreign contributions to the Clinton family foundation and her use of a private email account and server to conduct official business while secretary of state. But she and her husband are no strangers to scandal.

There often seemed to be no end of the scandals during President Bill Clinton's two terms in the White House and Hillary Clinton's campaigns for the Senate starting in 2000 and the Oval Office in 2008. Political experts began diagnosing "Clinton Fatigue" long ago.

As NBC's "Meet the Press" host Chuck Todd said shortly after the email scandal broke, "if Clinton fatigue, which is already a disease in the press corps, actually becomes a problem with the voting public, and these polls, maybe this is the first time that it's becoming a problem, that's — that is doom for her."

Hillary Clinton may become America's first woman in the Oval Office despite the heavy baggage of her last name, but the scandals will surely play a dominant role in the 2016 presidential race.

To help readers keep track of them all, herewith is a list of significant Clinton scandals over the years. It is by no means a comprehensive list. The Washington Examiner will update this list as needed in the months ahead.

    Travelgate

Soon after her husband became president in 1993, first lady Hillary Clinton allegedly engineered the firing of seven employees of the White House travel office and the hiring of a firm with ties to the Clintons to replace them. Multiple investigations absolved the president of involvement but Hillary Clinton was found to have made false statements to investigators.

    Hillarycare secrecy

When first lady Hillary Clinton convened her task force to create her husband's national healthcare program, it included multiple representatives from government, the health and insurance industries and academics. Despite the obvious potential for conflicts of interest in closed deliberations, the task force's meetings were kept secret throughout its existence.

    Whitewater

In the late 1970s and early 1980s, Bill and Hillary Clinton were associates of Jim and Susan McDougal in the Whitewater Development Corp., an Arkansas real estate investment firm that went under when McDougal's Madison Guaranty Savings & Loan was closed by federal regulators for illegal accounting. Taxpayers lost $73 million due to Guaranty. The Clintons lost an estimated $67,000 on their investment, but McDougal helped pay off Bill Clinton's campaign debts, and Hillary Clinton's law firm received an unknown sum in fees for representing a Guaranty project that also failed.

    Filegate

Hundreds of FBI background files on officials in previous Republican presidential administrations were improperly given in 1993 and 1994 to Craig Livingstone, the director of White House security who was a Hillary Clinton favorite. No illegal activity was ever proven, and Livingstone ultimately resigned.

Removing files from Vince Foster's office

Vince Foster was President Clinton's deputy White House counsel and long-time friend of Hillary Clinton. He committed suicide in 1993, and his body was found in a park just across the Potomac River from the White House. Files were also allegedly removed from his White House office before investigators were able to secure it as part of the official probe into his death.

Lost Rose Law Firm billing records

Congressional and Justice Department investigators began issuing subpoenas in 1994 for Hillary Clinton's billing records as a partner in the Rose law firm at the center of the Whitewater scandal. She said her role was incidental, but when the records mysteriously turned up in the White House in 1996, they showed she met repeatedly with key figures in the scandal.

Commerce Department's "pay to play" junkets

Seats on Commerce Department international trade missions were sold to corporate figures in return for big contributions to President Clinton's 1996 re-election campaign. Commerce Secretary Ron Brown, who was reported to have opposed the scheme, died when one of the missions crashed in Croatia, leading independent counsel Daniel Pearson to leave his investigation unfinished.

    Renting Lincoln Bedroom

More than 800 people stayed overnight in the Lincoln bedroom of the White House during President Bill Clinton's tenure. At least $5.4 million in campaign contributions from many of those guests went into Clinton's re-election effort. Among the paying guests were movie producer Steven Spielberg, Dreamworks SKG head David Geffen and long-time Hollywood powerhouse Lew Wasserman.

    John Huang

A close associate of Indonesian industrialist James Riady, Huang initially was appointed deputy secretary of commerce in 1993. By 1995, however, he moved to the Democratic National Committee where he generated hundreds of thousands of dollars in illegal contributions from foreign sources. Huang later pleaded guilty to one felony count of campaign finance violations.

    Charlie Trie

Like John Huang, Trie raised hundreds of thousands of dollars in illegal contributions from foreign sources to Democratic campaign entities. He was a regular White House visitor and arranged meetings of foreign operators with Clinton, including one who was a Chinese arms dealer. His $450,000 contribution to Clinton's legal defense fund was returned after it was found to have been largely funded by Asian interests. Trie was convicted of violating campaign finance laws in 1998.

    Johnny Chung

Gave more than $366,000 to the Democratic National Committee prior to the 1996 campaign, but it was returned after officials learned it came from illegal foreign sources. Chung later told a special Senate committee investigating 1996 Clinton campaign fund-raising that $35,000 of his contributions came from individuals in Chinese intelligence. Chung pleaded guilty to bank fraud, tax evasion and campaign finance violations.

    No controlling legal authority

Then-Vice President Al Gore repeated the phrase "there is no controlling legal authority" at least seven times during a news conference called to explain his multiple telephone calls from the White House to solicit contributions to the Clinton-Gore re-election campaign in 1996. In fact, the law was and remains clear that partisan campaign contributions cannot be solicited on or using federal property.

    Monica Lewinsky and impeachment

President Clinton became only the second chief executive ever impeached by the House of Representatives in 1998 after being found guilty of obstructing justice and committing perjury in connection with a grand jury investigation of his sexual relationship in the White House with intern Monica Lewinsky. He remained in office, however, after the Senate failed to convict him. When the news of the Lewinsky scandal broke, Hillary famously blamed a "vast right-wing conspiracy that has been conspiring against my husband since the day he announced for president."

    Pardongate

Shortly before leaving the Oval Office, Bill Clinton issued a number of controversial pardons for controversial individuals represented by lawyers with ties to the administration. The most controversial was convicted tax evader Marc Rich who was pardoned after his former wife made big contributions to the Clinton presidential library and to Hillary Clinton's 2000 Senate campaign.

    The Bosnia airport sniper lie

During her unsuccessful 2008 campaign for the Democratic presidential campaign, Hillary Clinton claimed to have come under sniper fire during her arrival as first lady at an airport in Bosnia in 1996. She recanted her claim after CBS News broadcast video of the arrival that demonstrated there was no sniper fire.

    The email scandal

While serving as secretary of state from 2009 to 2013, Hillary Clinton used a private email account and a server located at her residence in Chappaqua, N.Y., to conduct official government business. In a March 10, 2015, news conference at the United Nations, she said she did this as a matter of personal "convenience" and that she deleted thousands of emails she considered personal. Federal laws and regulations require government employees to preserve personal emails that deal with official business.

    The Clinton Foundation

After leaving the White House in 2001, Bill Clinton established a foundation in his name to raise funds for his presidential library. In the years since, the foundation — now known as the "Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton Foundation" — has raised hundreds of millions of dollars for worthy causes, with much of it coming from foreign governments, corporations and individuals. Critics claim the foundation is a tool for special interests to cultivate favorable relationships with the former and possible future president.

Multiple investigations absolved the president of involvement but Hillary Clinton was found to have made false statements to investigators.
Not long after I had retired from my travels with the White House on overseas missions and Bill and Hillary Clinton had moved into the White House, a ruthlessness and lawlessness of Hillary Clinton quickly came into sharp focus.

I know, because part of it affected me when 19 years’ worth of my own files were seized at her direction as part of her zeal to oust the White House Travel Office Director Billy Dale and six members of his staff to open the door for her cousin and some pals from Hollywood to take over. That’s all public record. Billy Dale, a long-time registered Independent had worked at the head of the Travel Office for 30 years, having started during the presidency of John Kennedy. He was eventually completely exonerated of any impropriety whatsoever … but it cost him and the six others their entire life savings to defend against a cold, calculated and lawless action of the Hildabeast.

What’s more, the controversy was subsequently judged to have been a factor in VINCE FOSTER’S depression and July, 1993 'suicide'.

In his torn-up resignation note from a few days before, he had written, “No one in the White House, to my knowledge, violated any law or standard of conduct, including any action in the Travel Office.”

In short, the whole thing was manufactured to cover what certainly appeared to be influence-peddling and sleazy deal-making in the Clinton White House. In fact, two years later, a memo from David Watkins, the Director of administration for the Clinton White House written to White House Chief of Staff Mack McLarty. That memo identified Hillary as the motivating force behind the Travelgate firings with additional involvement by Vince Foster and Harry Thomason, the Arkansas-born Hollywood TV and film producer and Hillary pal.

Watkins wrote, “we both know there would be hell to pay” if “failed to take swift and decisive action in conformity with the First Lady’s wishes.” Hillary’s previous statements to investigators were that she had played no role in the firings and had not consulted with Thomason beforehand.

Nobody was ever able to explain why the memo was two years late in surfacing when all such materials had been requested years earlier by all manner of congressional and other investigators.

Sound familiar with regard to this woman?

What was especially irritating to me personally was the seizure my own among 300 other persons’ white house travel files/documents. Especially was this particularly disturbing, not because there was ever any danger of me being any part of any irregularities real or imagined, but because of the extraordinary scrutiny that I, family, friends and associates went through during a two-year-long background review that set up my approval to become an independent member of the White House press corps dating back to 1972.

If it had all been part of a “legitimate” inquiry of some kind, I would have no problem with it. But I remain outraged that a bunch of Hollywood liberals and their ilk were apparently given outright opportunity to mine our most personal of personal background files including private interview statements compiled by federal agents from more than one federal government department.

In the end, of course, there was no ‘there’ there.

    A president Hillary?

    With her history?

    I don’t think so.

Hillary Clinton’s Last Defense Just Blew Up

    3/07/2016 6:18 PM EST

National Security: The Washington Post, of all places, found that not only did Hillary Clinton send and receive classified material on her unsecured email server as Secretary of State, she wrote dozens of classified emails herself.

To understand the implications of this revelation, let’s rewind the clock to almost exactly one year ago, when Clinton first addressed her private email controversy at a press conference held in the United Nations building.

A reporter asked Clinton whether she was “ever specifically briefed on the security implications of using your own email server and using your personal address to email with the president?”

Her answer was emphatic: “I did not email any classified material to anyone on my email. There is no classified material.”

Then she went on: “I’m certainly well aware of the classification requirements and did not send classified material.”

The first claim had been proved false long ago, once the State Department started releasing what would end up being 2,093 of Clinton’s emails that it said contained classified material.

Once those emails started emerging, Clinton changed her story to say that she never “knowingly” sent or received classified information, because none of the messages were so marked. That excuse fell by the wayside when emails turned up containing information deemed “classified at birth.” Then several showed up that couldn’t be released at all because their classification rating was so high.

The Post’s latest revelations, however, are particularly damning. It found that three-quarters of the classified emails she sent were written by Clinton herself.

Saying she didn’t know the information was classified because it wasn’t marked makes no sense, since she was the one who would have been responsible for marking it in the first place.

And, since she claims that she was “well aware of the classification requirements,” she can’t now claim that she was ignorant of the nature of the information she was sending.

As this story has unfolded over the past year, Clinton has tried to brush it aside as a partisan witch hunt. When that didn’t wash, she tried to blame the State Department for “over classifying” information, or charged that it was just the result of interagency squabbles.

Clinton also tried to smear the inspectors general for State and the intelligence community, both of whom were appointed by President Obama.

But what she has never done is admit the truth. Namely, that she set up her private email account as a way to shield her communications from public scrutiny — a tactic that worked for a time — and that in doing so she gave little thought to the national security implications.

Her cavalier attitude apparently set the tone for the department. The Post notes that top aid John Sullivan “was the most frequent author of classified emails,” and other top officials, Cheryl Mills and Huma Abedin, “authored dozens of such notes.”

Under the law, gross negligence in handling classified material is all that’s required for a government official to face criminal charges. At this point, is there anyone who can honestly say that Clinton wasn’t being grossly negligent?

Clinton IT staffer refuses to testify after immunity deal
    By Rudy Takala • 4/22/16 2:03 PM

The former State Department staffer who set up a private server in Hillary Clinton's basement is refusing to testify before Congress in spite of his immunity deal.

An attorney for Bryan Pagliano said that he would "respectfully decline" a request to testify before two Senate committees, according to a letter provided to the Associated Press on Friday. Pagliano received an immunity deal from the Justice Department in early March in exchange for cooperating with the FBI's investigation into the issue.

Pagliano had previously refused to testify based on his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. After the immunity deal was announced, Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, and Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., demanded that Pagliano testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee and Senate Homeland Security Committee, respectively, writing that there was "no longer reasonable cause" to believe his testimony could result in prosecution.

The response from Pagliano's attorney, which was dated March 11, argued otherwise, stating that "whatever agreement Mr. Pagliano may have reached with the Justice Department in no way constitutes a waiver of his Fifth Amendment rights."

Pagliano established the private server in Clinton's home in Chappaqua, N.Y., in 2009, unbeknownst to any of his superiors at the State Department. Clinton, in turned, granted him a political appointment at the department, an usual arrangement for an information technology aide.

The FBI has reportedly been seeking technical information about the server from Pagliano, in addition to physical evidence, such as photographs, that show when and where Clinton used devices in connection with the server.
