Another sort of bug problem..
I have those damn yeast moths. I have emptied the cabinet they are in, threw out everything that was open (even some that werent), put my flour and pasta in the firdge and then bleached the whole cabinet and yet a week later they are back. I think they are living in the wood, is that even possible? There is absolutly nothing in the cabinet for them to eat or live in (I didn't put anything back in it) so I don't know where they are coming from. I open the cabinet and they all come out at me. It's gross. I really think they live in the space between the side and the back. Do I have to tear the whole thing off? They are new cabinets!!! Like, not even a year ago we redid the kitchen

They are nasty aren't they-ughhh! I don't know how to prevent them really besides the basic things like putting your stuff in plastic containers. It seems like when I stopped shopping at Aldi's, they were not as bad so I have no clue. Good luck fighting that war. (((((hugs)))))

Wow! I don't know if it will help or not but maybe moth balls. I know whole bay leaves help with the little flour bugs. DH says try Boric Acid, just sprinkle in all corners and edges. Boric acid will kill roaches and they have more lives than a cat. Worth a shot, and good luck.

Here ya go. Be certain to read the whole atricle:

Or this:
Flour Weevils: Bay leaves keep bugs away and the flour will not take on the flavor. I do purchase bulk bay leaves at a local bulk store and place bay leaves in and around the canister that holds the flour, pasta or rice. I have read that people scatter the leaves in the back of the panty as well.

Years ago someone told me that putting orange peelings in your cupboards keeps those bugs away. I usually put extra flour, sugar, cake mix anything dry in the freezer. What is in use is in a tupperware type of container.

I keep my flour, corn meal and sugar in the refrigerator. It doesn't seem to hurt it any.

chances are you BOUGHT something Already that had the larve in it.
and it hatched. you should have noticed worms on your ceiling walls etc maybe?
or they stayed contained. we had worms on our ceiling years ago. i was laying on the couch one afternoon after work and all these worms were on the ceiling. I FREAKED out. I called my dh he came home. We had never seen anything like it. we got all of them down. a while later there were a few more coming out of BEHINd our cabinets. i called an ext. he told me they what they were. he said you probably bought something with the larvae in it. He asked me if i had noticed any moths yet. I said NO. but i have cats that kills flying insects so i would not expect. anything with grains. ex: bird seed.
Not sure how to get rid of moths, the worms we just emptied out cab. and sprayed flying insect spray. I now keep flour in a sealed container. suger in the fridge.
