Shut your cell phone off at the movies....
We went to see Shark Tale (is this the name of it...still don't know). It was really pretty good. I do have to "vent" about this guy sitting one seat away from me. He must have gotten 6 cell phone calls and TALKED to the other party every time....he was so loud I could not hear the movie. I mean, after the first few times, get up and go outside and go to the lobby. The theatre was PACKED and I am sure no one appreciated him conducting business in the movies.
"I'm looking for my own ROCKY MOUNTAIN "high."

Re: Shut your cell phone off at the movies....
I hate when ppl do that, next time that happens, get up and let a worker know.. they will take care of it and I've heard that they usually offer you tix to see the movie again if you've missed it b/c of a dumb butt taking calls... of course I cannot confirm that. But it is annoying esp when you hear their conversation(s) over the movie! And yes, it's called Shark Tale.
Glad you gave it a chance and enjoyed it even w/ bad reviews.

If you don't want dumb answers, don't ask dumb questions

Re: Shut your cell phone off at the movies....
I get soo annoyed with ppl who do that. Jon and I always sit at the top n so if someone does something like that we start chucking food at them. They even tell you on the screen before the movie starts to turn off all cell phones and pagers...some ppl just dont care i guess

Re: Shut your cell phone off at the movies....
Totally agree. It's understandable that sometimes you might have an important call- babysitter, important business call, that's why cell phones have that silent feature! If you put it on silent or vibrate and stick it in the cup holder, you can see it light up when it rings. Then you can either answer it, whisper hold on, and run out, or run out and call the person back.
LOL, has anyone seen the cingular ads with "Inconsiderate Cell Phone Man" or whatever his name is, and he blabs on the phone at places like restaurants and meetings?

I VOTED

ITA... I usually leave my phone in the car. Or at least put it on vibrate, if I don't have the ringer completely off.

Re: Shut your cell phone off at the movies....
You'd think people would just know it's not polite to talk 6x during the movie on the phone.
I'm surprised that the beginning of the movies on the previews,
don't have a disclaimer stating,
"Now, for the comfort of all movie guests,
please turn the ringer off on your cellphones.
All calls must be taken in the foyer/lobby
for others viewing pleasure.
Thank you."

Re: Shut your cell phone off at the movies....
I don't know if they have some way to block signals , but at my local theatre cell phones won't work while you are in there. I've never had a problem with anyone's cell phone ringing during a movie there. I wish more theatres would figure out a way to stop those annoying cell phone people too.

I don't understand how some people can be so oblivious to other people.. My gosh - if you can't live 120 minutes without your phone, then don't go to the movies! JMHO
