i just keep wondering, why do the courts keep giving money to the terminaly stupid?
i was sitting here thinking bout all the folks who keep doing these law suits..that are so moronic as to be laughable.
example 1. the chick who went through the Mcd's drivethrough got a cup of coffee, put it BETWEEN her legs.and then sues cause she got burnt? nope..she shouldna got a DIME!! just a sign to wear round her neck ..." TERMINALY STUPID! being around me could be hazardous to your health"!


example2, the guy who sued the atkins co. ie the folks who make the atkins diet products and such.. because his Dr. was a muttonhead? the guy ended up with a heartattack....i mean did this yahoo NOT read the books? i'm not the sharpest tool in the shed, but i can READ!! i mean..hello..if you do the atkins diet? take the proper vitamins, and go as low fat as you can..his heart woulda been fine..
there is a guy who needs to be laughed outa the court room..

oh..this one leads me to a mini vent ... um.. why is it whenever they show a peice on the atkins diet on the news, you see several HUGE iron sillets swimming with grease or butter? folks.. lemme let ya in on sommat..ok..if your doing the atkins diet.. you are making your body burn fat for energy rather than carbs. hence the weight loss... now.. if your doing it to lose weight..WHY THE HELL ARE YOU ADDING EXTRA FAT TO YOUR FOOD?????????????????????????????????????????????? ????? isn't the point to USE WHAT FAT IS SITTING ON YOUR BONES?? ARGH!! when i cook? i use soley olive oil, and never more than 2 tblsp's...while i do use butter...i don't use VAST amounts..

so the way i see it is that IDIOT bought into the whole news hype, rather than actualy READING ALL THE BOOKS INCLUDING the small print..i'm sorry..i do not expect to be paid for being a dumb A$$!!!! and neither should these type of folks.. someone needs to hand this guy a sign..or better yet..give him a job testing anti shark diving suits.. least then survival of the fittest would actualy work as it SHOULD!!

OK, I'll bite. I think it is just more of the "protect those too stupid to protect themselves". I agree that stupid lawsuits have gotten wayyyyyyyyyyyy out of controll. Unfortunatly as long as the public contintues to reward ignorance this will only get worse. Do you subscribe to the stella awards? I do and you wouldn't believe the stuff she can dig up about frivilous lawsuits. I say push em to the edge of the herd.

It's pretty sad that because of people like him, we have to have warning labels on everything (like "do not iron clothes while wearing them" DUH ). I guess Atkins is going to have to ut a statement out telling people they are not responsible for individual's choices, because after all, it is a lifestyle CHOICE. And then they would have to put it on a TV commercial because of people like that guy who don't read the books, they just go by seeing the images of meat simmering in butter.

THat actually did happen, I saw it on judge judy. Girl hit a skateboarder with her car (she was speeding through a parking lot), and then took HIM to court for damaging her car. She lost, of course, and had to pay some of his medical bills.

The sad thing is that it isn't the courts awarding the low end of the gene pool the large cash awards, it is the jury. Not only are the plaintiffs too stupid to function in society, but the lawyers managed to find 12 other idiots to agree that a company is responsible for their clients inability to use their better judgement.

and let's not forget the man who bought a camper vehicle (those big rvs)and put it on cruise control while he went and made a sandwich! yes he was awarded money-don't remember how much but please!!!!and the attornies like morris bart, etc....have these commercials that people say he got me over $$$$$for my accidentand we wonder why our car, home and whatever else we need to insure is so high!!
think i will go sue my doctor who said i should go off the pill for a month becasue of my headaches and because i was on them for several years straight should not get pregnant because they were in system but to use something else to be sure-stopped the pills 6/24/86 and my dd was born 4/29/87 & hubby was working 2 jobs at that time(perfectly honest it's almost like you can spit on me & guess what happens 9 months later)son was born 9 mos and 5 days after wedding (was told by another dr the same thing)
