    rare Brussels Griffon

The role of Verdell, a rare Brussels Griffon, was actually filled by six different dogs: Timer, Sprout, Debbie, Billy, Parfait and Jill. The dogs had to undergo a 15-week training program prior to filming. And according to all involved Jill, a dog from Texas, was the star dog. Kinnear joked that "None of (the actors) is going to survive this film without having been horribly upstaged by Jill. Jack, Helen and I have all talked about this."

Aww... where do you live? In CA by any chance? I would love one of these dogs! Hopefully I can adopt one though...

I'd be leery of buying one from a petstore. They often get their puppies from puppy mills. I wouldn't want to take a chance on that. It's better to find a reputable breeder; that way you have a better chance of making sure the animals aren't mistreated, and that you're getting a healthy puppy.
