Dad will be singing in the shower when he uses the Soap on a Rope made especially for him. LIBBY'S JUICY JUICE boxes provide the form for the soap, so you can make one or several for everyone in the family.

    WHAT YOU NEED

Clear glycerin melt-and-pour soap base (available at craft stores)

    Disposable chopstick, bamboo

    Heat-resistant glass measuring cup

(PARENTS ONLY) Kitchen knife, sharp not serrated

    Microwave oven

4.23 oz LIBBY'S JUICY JUICE box (1 box for each soap)

Soap colorant – blue (available at craft stores)

    Small plastic decorative ornaments

    White shoelace

    HOW TO DO IT

Print out the Soap on a Rope template.

Wash and dry 1 empty 4.23 oz LIBBY'S JUICY JUICE box.

Cut off one of the large panels. Be sure the inside is dry.

(PARENTS) Using a sharp knife, cut the soap base into 1/2 inch deep squares and place the squares into a glass measuring cup.

Place the glass measuring cup in the microwave and heat for appropriate time according to the glycerin package directions. Usually 40 seconds on high to start, and then in 10 second intervals until all the glycerin is melted.

Using a chopstick, remove the film that forms on the melted soap base and discard.

Pour a small amount of the clear melted glycerin into the LIBBY'S JUICY JUICE box – about 1/4 inch deep. Let it sit for about 5 minutes so that it slightly solidifies.

Add 3 – 4 small plastic ornaments to the partially solidified soap.

Cut slits at either end of the LIBBY'S JUICY JUICE box just above the soap level and string a white shoelace though each slit, lengthwise across the soap.(See template)

Add blue colorant to the remaining melted glycerin and fill the LIBBY'S JUICY JUICE box the rest of the way.

The soap will solidify in about 15 minutes or so.

When the soap has solidified, use safety scissors to cut away the LIBBY'S JUICY JUICE box.

Tie one end of the rope into a knot at the base of the soap, and the other end into a loop.

Hang it up for Dad to use.

    TIPS

Add this soap on a rope to other Father's Day gifts for a special gift basket for Dad on his Day.

    FOLLOW UP FUN

Customize these soaps for all of your special holidays and gift-giving occasions by changing the color of the soap and adding different small decorative objects.

Make a series of soaps that have one plastic or craft foam letter added. You can spell out a person's name or a special holiday
