Returned RTV auction items for credit
I had 2.5 mil RTV points expiring at the end of last year. I kept trying for sprees but can never get them. I wound up using ALL my points (over 4.5 mil) to bid on a older DVD I did not even want at the end of Dec. figuring i could try to sell it on ebay or such to at least get something (and there was nothing left that was within my point range). It came last week from amazon with a note that gifts could be returned for credit. I returned it and was just notified i now have about $26 more in credit in my amazon acct. to buy something I want Yea! Nice to know that we can now return auction items.
Now if amazon would only have some good sales with free shipping items.
I have had 3 things there in my cart that i want and they go up or down a few dollars each week, but nothing that compares to the sale prices at other stores for the same items ... and everything else there i want all have excessive shipping charges

I didn't know we could return items won to Amazon for credit, but that's great for anybody who wins something that they don't really want. I only got one item in the auctions last year, but I wanted the PS3 and got it cheap. I spent the rest of my points on gift cards in the sprees. I don't know of any members who had points that expired in 2010. They all had them rolled over to 2011, so it sounds like RTV points do not expire now.

yeah I also didn't know it was possible to return a gift for credits. I got something from the auctions too and got a standards Amazon "returns are easy!" message. I am guessing returns are possible because the return request is sent to Amazon not to RTV.
