Thread: Shopping Spree

Well the countdown of how many cards left in shopping spree is broken. I wonder if that means they have been working on that section of code for the site?

I want to thank the people who have posted hints on how to get cards in the shopping spree... even though it wasn't to your advantage to do so. I still can't get any. I wish I could give my points to someone who could use them.

I'll probably try a few more shopping sprees, and then quit. It was fun while it lasted. Thank you to all the people who posted here who helped me earn lots of points back when it was possible to cashout. If I manage to actually spend some of my points... I'll be back and help out with the ads.

I agree with you Faithhope, it was lots of fun while it lasted. I haven't won any sprees in many months now. I don't expect to win every time but once in a while would be nice. I think I am going to accumulate my points to get something at the auction then quit. I have over 3 mil so don't want to waste them by just stopping now.

Don't give up so easily. I got 5 rewards in today's Spree. Only one for my account, another for my girlfriend. The other three were for my parents and younger bro who was in school. I have access to all of their accounts, but this is the first time I've got more than 3 rewards in one Spree. The last time I didn't get anything was in the first Spree in August when I was attending a First Aid/CPR class. There was something strange about today's Spree. It was late before it started.

Well unless you got all of whatever was up with 75 available, I don't know how you managed that! I was refreshing and it came up exactly at 11 for me, and I couldn't get a Target card because they were all gone immediately, and I have a cable modem. It didn't even ask me to put in my password again, so I wasn't slowed down at all, just 2 quick clicks and they were all reserved by other members already!

todays spree was wierd... when i got in right on time... it said it was all gone, but the main page said all were available... the count didn't go down. I stayed and played on the page, and ended up getting the $5 reward by accident.... now I need to see if there is a movie theater around her that will take the concession cash.

I'll keep trying at the sprees since I don't want to waste the points I have earned... but I don't think I'll seriously play until my point total gets lower.

I can't seem to type fast enough to get one reward, so I don't know how someone can get 5 of them... impressive.

How many of you have written RTV to complain about this? Maybe if a bunch of us complained, then they could make it easier. Like, for example, why don't they just offer a GC to a select few members for a certain amount of points?? Why in the world do we have to act like a bunch of children at a parade chasing candy? It really should be easier and if alot complain, maybe they'd improve the system.

It did come up at 11 EDT, but the site was screwed up. It kept showing that 15-25-75 of the rewards were left. It acted weird for maybe 10 minutes or longer before it started giving rewards, then everything was normal. Most people must have given up after it kept saying "Sorry another member is in the process.....". faithhope noticed it too, and got a GC. I play my account almost everyday, so I always have plenty of points to get what I want. I only play my parents occasionally, cause they won't play theirs. My younger bro and girlfriend hardly ever play either. It comes in handy having access to their accounts when I post shows on another site. It's rare that I do take more than one GC in any Sprees, but I don't want their points to expire.

I do agree with dreemin about RTV could come up with another way to handle the rewards. It would be hard to only offer them to a select group, but they could up the point totals for all of the rewards and let members redeem them when they wanted. A lot of members would have to email them and complain for them to do that though, and it seems that most people don't want to take the time to do so.

I think we should all take just a couple of minutes out of our day to email Reward TV about the new idea for disbursing GCs. I think it's a great idea (an easier idea) and I'm going to email them today.

But then again, I'm not sure it'll be worth it. I've won GCs and have been waiting on them to arrive for months now. I have actually received one every now and again that I won, but more not than have. I'm really tired of busting my rear to "win" a GC once or twice a week then not even being rewarded for my effort by receiving it. Sheesh!

I did notice that, but never thought to stick around and see if the totals did go down. I gave up too easily.

But today I got a KFC, so I'm happy.
