    Lightspeed Switcharoo

    Just received this from Lightspeed....

A few weeks ago, we let you know about some upcoming changes to the Lightspeed Panel. LightspeedPanel.com has joined forces with MySurvey.com to make your overall membership and survey taking experience more enjoyable and rewarding.

Beginning January 24, 2011 your Lightspeedpanel.com membership will be transferred to the MySurvey.com consumer research panel. MySurvey.com is very similar to LightspeedPanel.com, and your experience will be the same as it has been on the Lightspeed Panel. You will still:

    * Share your opinions about the products and services you use every day.
    * Earn Reward Points for taking surveys. Reward Points can be redeemed for e-certificates, gift cards, merchandise, charity donations and much more. Mysurvey.com offers the same reward options as Lightspeedpanel.com
    * Opportunities to be entered into several MySurvey.com sweepstakes with prizes awarded daily, monthly and quarterly.

For the next few days, you may continue participating in surveys sent to you by LightspeedPanel.com as you have in the past.

    * As of January 22, 2011 you will no longer be able to login to http://us.lightspeedpanel.com
    * Beginning January 24, you will login to https://www.mysurvey.com with the same email address and password used to login to the Lightspeed Panel to take surveys and view your Reward Points.
    * Survey invitations will be sent to you from carol@mysurvey.com please be sure to add that address to your approved email contacts to ensure you receive our survey invitations.

All points you have received for taking surveys will be transferred to your MySurvey.com membership. If you are already participating in surveys for MySurvey.com your accounts will be combined.

MySurvey.com and LightspeedPanel.com are owned by the same parent company, The Kantar Group, the information, insight and consultancy division of WPP. MySurvey.com is a member of TRUSTe. Your privacy is assured. Your information will only be used to contact you with survey invitations and information related to your MySurvey.com membership. Membership and survey participation is completely voluntary. Click here to read the MySurvey.com privacy policy.

We sincerely appreciate your past participation with the Lightspeed Panel and look forward to offering you an even better survey experience with MySurvey.com. If you have any questions about your current Lighspeedpanel.com membership or about the transfer of your membership to Mysurvey.com, please click here.

I hope they still give us the same ways to cashout. I get amazon gift certificates from lightspeed and cash from mysurvey.

I liked doing surveys for BOTH. I'm disappointed. I doubt that my chances to qualify for surveys will stay the same. It's hard enough to qualify for one.

I am NOT happy about this. I love mysurvey. when they send a survey, it's one I qualify for. I rarely qualify for Lightspeed. I just start them and screen out.

    Great. :-(
Wish I would have known this was going to happen. I forfeited some points when I quit Lightspeed recently. I couldn't stand that points expired there if you didn't cash out with them fast enough. I hope they don't start doing that at MySurvey, or I'll have to quit them too if I start not qualifying for enough surveys to cash out fast enough.

My husband and I have a Lightspeed account but I only have a Mysurvey account as I think you are only allowed one account per household.
He was only 40 pts from cash out at Lightspeed. Don't know what will happen now

We have the same problem here. I told my husband to cash out at Lightspeed but I don't know if he did. I'm not happy at all about them combining. I hope they don't adopt Lightspeed's rule of points expiring. I also have more success at qualify for MySurvey surveys than Lightspeed. My fear is they will have raised points needed to cash out too.

so this is the third or fourth survey panel to combine with one. First it was Greenfield/Your2Cents turning it to Toluna USA. Then it was SurveyExchange aka OTX getting together with Ipsos i-say. Now lightspeed and mysurvey. Parent Company is Kantar Operations.

Well cashed out $45 before the website closed. So 70 points will be transferred to mysurvey account...

Yes gmyers u will still be the same reward option that was available on Lightspeed. Perks.com runs their reward program... Mysurvey original cash out was 1000 points for $10 but with perks it's about 1250...

Actually I'm rather happy about the change. As much as I loved Lightspeed it wasn't often that I qualified for many surveys. Now, I really love MySurveys. I qualified for a good number of their surveys and even if you didn't qualify you still were awarded points.
I checked my account on MySurvey.com and it looks as though they had already transferred my points over.
All in all, I'm very happy about the change. I'm positive that it will be a good one.

We're in the same boat here with two Lightspeed accounts. We only have one MySurvey account because you are only allowed one per household. I'm sure we're going to lose the second account.
