I had to sign up and I don't see where I get a free sample. They want you to post video reviews and stuff. When I checked FAQ on "how to cancel my account" - they don't let you cancel your account!!!!
This is a bit misleading and I definitely don't want to belong to a site where they won't let me cancel my account.

You fill out questionaires and if you qualify then they send you the product to try and then post a review. I didn't get in on the cascade one but I did qualify for one from gain.

And that is it in a nutshell. It's not a "freebie" - you have to register for a site, then qualify for your freebie, then post a review. On top of that, they won't let you cancel your account if you didn't know all this up front.
Had the OP mentioned all this that would be a different story and I would have had more info with which to make a decision. Plus, after I signed up, I noticed I had a "friend" - not sure if that is the OP - but you get an entry into a sweepstakes for everyone who signs up under you.

That's all very true. I find it odd that they won't let you cancel you account and I didn't know about referring friends. I just joined and it seems okay to me, but to each his own. I can understand your point of view, I was just trying to let you know how it worked in case you weren't aware.
