    YAHOO and FreeRide!

I had not been getting any mail from FreeRide either and HERE is what is in my account today:

    Dearest ,

Yahoo.com has temporarily blocked emails from Freeride.com to your Yahoo mail account.

We are currently in the process of resolving this issue with your service provider. In order to speed up the process, you can help us by contacting your internet service provider and request that they unblock Freeride.com. You can also add the our email addresses to your inbox to assure delivery.

    freemail@m.freeride.com

Send a copy of that email to support-other@freeride.com and get 30 bonus tokens added to your account.

We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you kindly for your patience.

    Thanks!

    Your Friends at Freeride.

    -------------------------------------------

ANYONE ELSE who has been having a problem receiving mail from FreeRide use Yahoo for their emails or get this message in their FreeRide Account on their "My Account" page?

I am about to send Yahoo but the indicated email address is already on my 'safe' list.
    c'est la vie!!

I was just coming to post the same. I noticed that FR posted that message between 11:30 AM (I had been on My Account page shortly before that and there was no message) and noon. Yes I use Yahoo and I also have FR in my acceptable list. What bugs me is that the other day I did get the Tuesday FR email about new coupons being available, but no points emails. I guess an email to Yahoo is in order. They'll block FR but let tons of garbage go thru. Grrrr.

Did you email Yahoo directly or go thru Help and the Contact Us link? If you emailed them, what's their email addy? Thanks for any info.

This is really infuriating. If Yahoo is going to do broad blocking, they should investigate a bit more. They could start by blocking emails with a send dates beyond the current year. My bulk folder gets a ton of emails with a 2038 date so it's difficult when I do want to check that folder for misdirected mail (scroll thru pages and pages).

I also sent an email. I can't believe Yahoo is doing this. They should be looking out for all the emails that are asking you for money, look at porn, pay for this and that.

Beyond me.....Hopefully it'll be resolved soon.

I went through the help and the Contact Us link since that is the only way I know to contact them. I DID get two confirmation emails each with a different confirmation number, for whatever the reason. NOW let us see what Yahoo does, if anything AND I get the 2038 emails all the time too!

    ANSWER from Yahoo Mail!

TALK ABOUT a 'generic' email, this one surely fits the bill! BUT at least they answered even though they did not address the problem! SIGH

Thank you for writing to Yahoo! Mail.

While we make our best effort to deliver solicited bulk or commercial
email directly to your Inbox, we may occasionally send a message that
you have requested to your Bulk Mail folder. It is important therefore,

that you check the Bulk Mail folder periodically to make sure that you
do not miss these messages. Please be aware that messages in the Bulk
Mail folder are subject to automatic deletion. The time a message can
reside in the Bulk Mail Folder can be controlled by going to "Spam
Protection" in "Mail Options". The default time is 1 month, however it
can be adjusted to 2 weeks, 1 week, or 0 days (i.e. drop bulk
    messages).
For this reason, you should review your Bulk Mail folder every so
    often.
If you receive messages in the Bulk Mail folder that you don't want to
read, you can set up a filter to send these messages to the Trash.

If you believe that a message that has been delivered to your Bulk Mail

folder is more appropriately delivered to your Inbox, please open the
message, and click the "Not spam" button. clicking the "Not Spam"
button in your message, will cause it to automatically forward to a
Yahoo! Customer Care associate for careful review. If we determine that

it is appropriate for Yahoo! to make system-wide changes with regard to

this type of email message, we will deliver it to your Inbox in the
future. If you continue to see that type of message in your Bulk Mail
folder, but you would still like to receive it in your Inbox, you can
set up a filter to do that.

For more information on filters, please visit:

    http://help.yahoo.com/help/mail/manage/manage-06.html

Please let us know if you still experience problems so we may assist
    you
    further to resolve your issue.

Your patience during this process is greatly appreciated.
    c'est la vie!!

I have not gotten any FreeRide emails in my Yahoo mailbox yet but I see the letter to me is removed from my FreeRide account. I wonder if the problem is solved for anyone because it surely isn't solved for me. AND I did not get the 30 for writing to Yahoo either.

I have not gotten the 30 points either, and no emails from FR (except for the one to say new coupons are available to print). Also, CPC points (for Smithsonian clicks) are no longer showing on My Account and haven't been added to my total.
