Re: Doing different programs at the same time...
your question made perfect sense. (should I worry??? )
you are right, a program will generally overtake the one you are already waiting on.
what you can do though is do an email account at the same time. I usually have a yahoo account going while I'm visiting the various programs' websites.
or you can have a yahoo one going at the same time as a hotmail one.
it gets a little confusing sometimes but with some concentration ( and no distractions... which is the hard part some days ) it sure does cut down on the time involved.

Re: Doing different programs at the same time...
If you hold the shift key down while you hit the link it will open in a new window and not 'overwrite' the other program. You can have multiple windows open this way and do multiple searchs or whatever at once (which is also nice if you want to compare search results since the results will be open in different windows).

Re: Doing different programs at the same time...
I think you are discussing web browsers ..
If so, in addition to holding down the shift-key, you can also just right-click on the link and choose "open in new window" -- all up to what you prefer.
Instead of IE, I've been using Mozilla Firefox and this allows you to open websites in "tabs" within the same window - or open in new window as IE allows you to do.
I love the "tabs" feature b/c I get annoyed by all of the different windows and it just keeps things cleaner.
The only drawback so far is that some websites will not load correctly so I do go back to IE every once in awhile.
Anyhow - thanks for listening and I hope you find what works best for you.

Re: Doing different programs at the same time...
You probably have Internet Explorer set to use the same window all the time when browsing. This is a default setting with Windows and you can easily change it by clicking on "Tools" in the upper toolbar, then click "Internet Options", then click the "Advanced" tab. Under "Browsing", you will see a line that says "reuse windows for launching shortcuts". Just remove the checkmark and click "Apply".

Re: Doing different programs at the same time...
If you are using IE, you can trying pressing control +n. and a new window will open then you can type in the address. It works for me, I ususally have memolink, luckypoints, and pchpoints going all at once.

Re: Doing different programs at the same time...
I can operate two at a time, say Gain Mail and Gain Again, by clicking one from Outlook Express and the other from the site inbox. There are some other program, like Quick Rewards or Creations Rewards, that work differently that I can also run at the same time.

Re: Doing different programs at the same time...
If your computer works like mine, if you press shift and click a link it opens in a new window. That should help you.

Re: Doing different programs at the same time...
I've been right clicking and opening a new window but I'm happy to learn about using the shift key. Thanks!
