What's your likes and dislikes about your internet service?
Also how much do you have to pay?
I have Hughes satellite and I love the fast speed, but I'm only allowed to download 200MB a day....I can't even download one short sitcom on itunes. If I do I will violate the FAP and they will shut me down for 24 hours. I have to pay $59.00 a month for this service and I think they should allow more than 200MB a day.
I have DSL through Verizon. I think its like $39 something a month. I get it on my phone bill, thats why I can't remember how much it is exactly. lol
I love it and haven't had any problems and I've had it for over a year now. (well unless you count when I thought it was out for like 3 days when all I had to do was reset my modem. LMAO!)
I have Bellsouth DSL and it is $ 24.95 per month - it is the lite version - my brother has the more expensive version and it downloads at about the same speed. I haven't had any problems with the DSL - I use to have Brighthouse Broadband and it was awful - it would go down for weeks at a time and they would not credit you for any outage time. So the last time it went down I just called Bellsouth and got DSL and have never looked back.
I have cable and pay 44.95. but that includes a router and we have 2 or computers using it.
I have aol dial-up--HATE IT! I can't get anything besides dial-up here. My phone company offers it to everyone but me!:thumpdown: They offer me phone service but not high speed.

I dunno how much I pay. I have a bundle service (cable, internet, phone) and I just pay the bill... I don't look to see what each thing cost, but I *think* I pay about $30/mo
have crazy dial up...they ran the lines for dsl and they ran to small of wire so my neighbor has it but me and june72 cant get it...june72 can get it in the winter but not summer and I could not get it all ...such a bummer and I want it soo...bad
I have cable it is 42.95 plus another 3.00 for the modem rental so together I pay 45.95.
I have DSL and pay $13/month and added on to my phone bill. I haven't had any problems with it.

I have cable...with my cable service and internet I pay $74 a month.
DSL through my phone company ... I pay 14.99 a month and love it! It is comparable to the cable speed I used to have and paid 49.99 a month for that!

DSL i'm not sure how much it is just for the internet ours is a package deal with the phone. I like the service but, we don't have much of a choice here.
We have a cable connection through Comcast. I have never had anything else. It think it's around $50 a month but I'm not exactly sure as we have cable and phone service with them as well so it's a bundle package. Is dial up as slow as they make it look on the commercials? LOL

Oh Lord YES! In some area's it's worse than others. At my store I get a decent dial up speed, but here at home it's horrible. Before I got satellite, I was tickled to death to log in at 28.8! And God forbid, if you have to try and download something. You'll need to pack a lunch, because it's going to take all day!Quote:

Just a FYI for those few of us that don't have any other options. There is a new Satellite company out there besides Hughes. It's called Wild Blue, and they are $49.99 a month. The only reason I don't switch to them is because you have to buy your equipment to start with. And I've already paid for mine through Hughes.

We have it through our cable company. I pay $89 a month for a triple play that includes my internet, cable t.v. and phone. I get 500 long distant minutes a month included on the phone too.
We have Time Warner with wireless routers on it. 5 puters connected. Only $120 a month including cable with digital TV & a couple premium channels & PPV, internet, phone. The kids pay the bill.:elefant:
I have dsl, we live in the boonies in ohio and no one would offer us cable or dsl out here. Well I found a company out of PA to give it to us. Its 24.95 a month, no equiptment to buy or rent ( modem was free) and no set up fees ect.
Dial up IS that slow!!! I hated it, I had ever dial up immaginable...earthlink, aol, att you name it I had it, and they all stink! lol
I am very happy with my DSL and would never go back! The only way I would switch is if they offered cable out here, which they don't

My mom has dial up and OMG is it slow. She only connects at like 19 on a good day. I told her that if I had to put up with that every day that I'd kill myself or go crazy! There is no high speed available where she is. I guess thats how things go when you live up a holler and you have to go through a tunnel to even get to her house! LOL
Oh and everytime it rains hard or the wind picks up pretty bad, she loses her phone for a while too, sometimes days! LOL
i have comcast the lightning speed internet service
i pay with the tele,digital cable,HBO and wwe24/7 it is about $195.00 with a pay per view movie too
but, i like it anyway i can sit and watch the sopranos anytime i want on demand

Cable internet through Time Warner (they just bought out Adelphia in our area) and I will NEVER use anything else!!! My mom has satellite and it might as well be dial-up, but it's actually SLOWER if you can imagine that. My work has DSL and it's not as fast as my cable modem. I also go with the "medium" speed, so it is costing me $42.95 a month. That's a lot for internet service, but with the amount of time we use it in our household it's well worth it. We have three computers now on a wireless network.
Does she have it with Hughes? If she does, they guarantee a certain speed. Maybe she needs to call them and have them reset stuff. Mine slows down sometimes really bad, and I call them and they redo stuff and get me to run test and before I know it, it's going really fast again. Also if you go over the FAP it will slow you down to a crawl. You have to unplug the in and out coaxes on the back of the modem without disconnecting the power. You have to leave it this way for 24 hours before it will speed back up again. And sometimes it doesn't speed back up and you have to call a tech to push it from their end.Quote:

Could you please e-mail the name of the people, because they are scheduled here for the 13th. I want to know if they are going to be the same ones. I don't want to deal with any shady ones. I'm going up to the second level as well. They are giving a free modem upgrade if you agree to 15 month contract....and I'm going to the pro plan, it is only $10 more a month...hey what's $10 more a month...LOL....Quote:
