I had lunch with Octomom today!

Okay, so she was in the booth in front of me, but we were still eating at the same El Pollo Loco. :laugh:

My girls and I were getting our drinks when my DH walks up to us and says, "Don't freak out or anything, but Nadia Suleman is in the booth in front of us." Knowing that my DH loves to kid around, I just expected to see some woman with a bunch of kids. I look all around and don't see anyone with a bunch of kids, just a woman with two boys and some guy she was with. Then I took a closer look at the woman and, sure enough, it was her, huge lips and all.

I just sat down in our booth facing her and my girls sat across from me with big grins on their faces like the just saw a celebrity. lol I told them when we left that it was interesting to see her, but I'm not going to get all gushy about it like I just saw a real celebrity.

Boy, she was a talker. The guy she was with could hardly get a word in edgewise. I must say, though, she did look good for recently having 8 kids. I'd say she was down to a size 6 easy. And no paparazzi were around. Glad all the hoopla about her is dying down.

Wonder who was watching her kids. My mom told me that a friend of hers saw Nadia shopping in a store nearby a few weeks ago. This woman sure does go out a lot. I remember it took me 3 months after giving birth to one baby before I went out to eat or shop for clothes. I was just too darn exhausted to go out before then.

Oh well, that was big "thrill" of the day.

The guy was probably her attorney or someone from her reality show. Never knew you could get famous from having so many babies. It takes all I guess.

I would have told the guy to run for his life LOL.

You only get exhausted if you take care of your own kids. This woman has more free time with 14 kids than a normal mom does with one.

This woman is a breeder plain & simple. I do not begrudge anyone wanting & having a large family. My Mom was one of 13 children. Thing is my grandparents raised their children by themselves & this was during the depression.

IMHO she is trying to ride the celebrity wave on the baks of her childern. She is exposing their lives to millions of people, many who are not the nicest of people. She is putting her children on display for profit. I can not understand her having all of this free time to shop & lunch. I realize she has 24/7 nanny care but she is their mother. Her priority should be the care, welfare & nurturing of her children not leaving it up to nannies.

As much as I like him, Dr Phil made a huge NO-NO by giving this woman a forum & that was the start of her gravy train. Who gets to buy a million dollar house without any money in the bank, no income & no husband(father) in the picture??? Where did she get the money to buy a 14 person van??? Another interesting thought...she has a 14 person van but inculding her in as a person & her 14 children, how do 15 people fir ina 14 person van especially since all 14 children need to be ina car seat? No one driving along to help take care of the children in the van or did she get 2 vans?

Who is paying the utilities, insurances or property taxs on this house? She is pimping her kids out for financial gain & celibrity.

i can understand that she wanted children-but 14, and she wants to make money off of them-she needs help allright-its called a psychiatrist!!! jmoo

I would have told the guy not to have any "relations" with her, she might be collecting sperm for her next dozen...
