Stupid move of the day by me

I don't know how it happened (bad luck with these appliances) but I went to make coffee and broke my carafe.

My mom gave me a perculator until I buy a new coffee maker. Do you guys know if I can just buy the glass part?

I bought one off ebay for 99 cents over the summer... gotta have that coffee! LOL

You should be able to buy the glass part at walmart. They sell them here. But they are like 10 dollars. Sometimes they are almost as much as the coffee pot itself :)

I got into the coffee club at www.melitta.com, and got a great fast brew/extra hot coffee pot with 2 cans of coffee for $12. The later shipments are WAY cheaper than Gevalia, and its just as easy to cancel. I love the pot! Seems like the coffee tastes better with the hotter brew temp. Just fyi...

I've gotten a replacement from a thrift store for cheap! Try there if you can.

We've had this coffee maker a while, I think. It wasn't keeping coffee very hot anyhow. I am sure my dh will just suggest getting a new one. The decanters I have seen online are too expensive. I'd rather buy a new unit. I might check out that Melitta deal CHERNL mentioned. Melitta makes very good coffee. I buy it by the can. (French vanilla).


Edited: DH found another decanter in the attic. Rock on.
