I have a question

has anyone on this borad and anyone you know went out of state to meet someone they chat with on line.they had a chat only one time. and it is the opposite sex?

I think it is risky and nuts what is your opinion.

Yup I have to agree. It does seem risky after only chatting one time.

I have and met some incredible folks over the years :) I dont really think its nuts "IF" you've chatted a long time and really get to know the person ... but just once i'd be very leary of yes .. :confused:

I would not recommend it or do it. Way to risky! Many people you meet online are who they say they are but there are many more that are NOT!!

One time yes definately a bit nuts. Just because I think you really need to talk more often to figure out who or whom is tellin gthe truth. Do you know what I mean. Pleas edo not put yourself in a dangerous situation over one chat session on the net. Take care and God bless

After one time is nuts! I met Gherky and sinned96 after a couple of years of chatting(didn't exactly meet them by choice lol) and i'm also going to meet a very good friend of mine who lives in N.C. we've also been chatting atleast a couple years maybe longer. I would never meet someone after only 1 chat.

I have told a friend he was nuts for doing this. we have not herd from him yet. we have no idea if he is ok or not. he left right after christmas. all we know is he is in va with some lady he talked to over a chat line.

I'd say that if you are going to be nuts enough to meet someone after one chat, at least do it in a very public place. That is my rule even after I have been chatting with someone for a while, it's just a safety thing I guess.

yes I know he is a grown man but still he is a friend and my bf and I and his family and his boss are worried because we have not herd from him.

Well a "man" here in KS chatted with women on the net then they would agree to come be his houskeeper. He would kill them and bury their bodies in gallon drums and dump them in the river. A sex prediter.

When he went on trial he looked like a minister he was so ordinary and couldn't hurt a fly type. Don't trust anyone until you get to know them a long time and know others who know them.
