For your information
 Gas prices are up again
First I should tell you I don't drive a lot since I'm no longer working. But.......................................
 Do you people realize that in the month of August gas prices have gone up about 40 cents a gallon.
The first of August I got gas at an Arco station, it was $1.55 a gallon.
 Yesterday I went to an Arco station (near the first one), and the gas was $1.99 a gallon. I could not believe it.
;) Now they just said on the news, that the Auto Club of California says gas prices should have reached their peak for the summer.
SUMMER: I thought summer was June, July, and August. Did the Auto Club not look at their calender, it's almost September people!!!!
So now that kiddies are going back to school the government is going to punish the parents by raising gas prices.
How much is gas in your area?
I live in Orange County, California!!!!!!!! and here it is $1.99 for Arco, other brands are higher!!!!!!!!!
Have a good day

Gas was $1.39 on Monday morning on my way into work. This morning its $1.79.
That is the most unreal price jump I have ever seen. Im sure it will go down AFTER Labor Day.

Gee, Squirt, you only paid $1.99? LOL
I found one place around town where it was $1.95. But yes I couldn't believe how much it jumped. I only drive 6.6 miles to work but hubby drives a lot... did 300 miles just the other day.

Since the gas shoratage here in Phoenix, I've paid 2.19 a ga. ;(

ahippiechic that's is really high...what was it before? here it's $1.57

Gas here in Lawrence, Kansas just went up from $1.49 a gallon to 1.59 a gallon yesterday. I was hoping to get to the station before the jump, but didn't make it. $1.99 a gallon, I'd have to start taking the bus. Yeah they get us parents where it hurts. It cost so much to get kids in school as it is, and now gas price hikes to boot. :(

They are blaming the gas rise on the East Coast fromt he blackout .. I didn't look at prices yesterday (and I need gas:rolleyes: ), but on the news it said prices were $1.79/gallon and higher.
Prices in Arizona are being blamed on a pipeline break that happened I believe in Tuscon.
It all boils down to "them" having reasons or excuses as to why we are paying through the nose to get from point A to point B!

Good lord, it's like 1.70somethin or other here in Dallas... I know some of you remember it even cheaper (my memaw LOVES to tell cheap gas stories)... but I sure can remember high school when 5 dollars would give you half a gallon of gas... they are robbing us blind!

Yesterday ours was 1.79/gal when I looked. Haven't been out today, so I don't know.
