Thread: I haven't been on here in a year, I think.

I haven't been on the board in almost a year I think. I found the board name on a scrap of paper. 20 years ago I would have been on here several times a day for hours at a time. I miss the good old days, things were simpler back then. The world has changed and I'm not so sure I like it a whole lot. Seems as if people have become more angry and impatient. If they don't get an instant response to a text, they text you again to see if you have your phone on. I would love just 1 day of how things used to be.

Hi Mary_Jo3! I remember your name Although I'm on FB quite a bit (part of it job-related), I enjoy the simple pleasure of BBF. It's familiar and more of a community here.

I need to not spend so much time on FB. I've thought about deleting from my phone because I'm only on my computer a couple of times a week. I've lost years to FB with all the hours I've spent there. LOL

Yes we did I hope you had one as well. For Christmas, we had all my sisters and their children at the same time in the same place probably for the last time unless there is a funeral. My one sis and her hub are moving out of state 2+ days away by car after he retires in the spring, my nephew and his family in FL, their sis staying in IA after graduation from college. I should have taken off work more often when they were small for the holidays, but with my job, we were 24/7, and getting off was for those with small children. I always volunteered to work so they could be there when the kids woke up for Christmas, etc. Don't ever pass up time to spend with family, once its gone it's gone. Blessings
