    Exciting morning

I live near Myrtle Beach, SC. At 2am the weather alarm went off telling us they had a severe weather alert in effect until 6am. It went off again this morning at 5:20am saying Elsa was sending a tornado our way. Got up, got stuff into my guest bathroom (our safe spot) and watched updates on the TV weather. That one passed me by, wind knocked down some trees in Myrtle Beach. A couple more sparked up around us, Pawley's Island, Murrell's Inlet, but skipped us again. Another weather alert went off just before 8am, sent us to the bathroom for a few minutes, again missed us.

No damage to my property, cat upset -- that's about it. Lots of people in towns around us without power. Wind really kicking up, but I think the worst of it is over!

    Kathy

I am glad to hear you are safe, we live in tornado alley so they are a regular thing, but the types of storms you get would scare the heck out of me.
Keep your hands to yourself, leave other people's things alone, and be kind to one another.

Glad to hear you are safe! Some Florida friends said they got through it okay, and another friend in Cape Cod mentioned that they have been alerted to the storm traveling up the East coast. Everyone be careful!

I'm glad that you are safe. I had heard that there were multiple tornado warnings in the Charleston area, and that city of course had flooding from all the rain. There was also a confirmed tornado in Fairfield, North Carolina, a city I'm not familiar with) with other tornado warnings in the state. I'm in upstate SC, and we just had some rain.

I hate the hurricanes in general, but it's almost scarier when they come from the Gulf and up through the middle of the state rather than from the ocean. The tornado threat is mostly on the eastern side of the path and scares the bejezzus out of me.

Glad you are ok. We had an earthquake out here in California yesterday, 4 hours from my house did not feel anything but some in the Bay area an hour from did. We get a shake alert message on our phones about an earthquake happening, so at least some type of alert.
