I went to the Medicare site in late September to sign up for A and B, and it showed that I was already signed up. I called their office to confirm, and they said yes - and that they had mailed my card in July (which I didn’t remember receiving). The agent said she would request another one be sent. A few days later I received a letter that verified that I had Medicare, and a few days after that, I received my card. I had to sign up for both so my retiree insurance from the university would then become my secondary insurance. I get my medication covered with them, and I pay a reasonable premium for vision and dental.
