    Menopause???

14 years ago at the 30 I had to have a full hysterectomy and was put on a hormone replacement patch. Last month my new dr took me off it telling me that I had been on it to long and the risk of cancer was higher if I kept on it. So I went off, for the first few weeks I was fine. Now I feel like Im going thru all the menopause steps. I get the hot flashes, I have insomnia, and have gained some weight. I don't see my dr again for 3 weeks. Wondering for those going thru and who have been thru menopause what did you do? Did you take an herb or supplement to help the feelings?
    Thanks for any info!

I just took it... went through it naturally, from age 50, three years ago, pretty much until now, although symptoms are not near as bad. I felt like I didn't know my body at all, but that is normal. And WOW at being on hormone replacement for so long... you HAVE to go through the symptoms eventually, might as well be now! The sooner you get it over with, the better. What was worst for me was the mood swings... I could have killed someone at a split seconds notice!! Seems kind of funny now, but at the time WOW!!! Oh, and there is no supplement that is safe... I mean, they are out there, but, have the same risks as HRT. It's just not worth the risk.

That is one mean side affect you will be getting, and since a full hysterectomy, I would be more worried what part of the body cancer will show up on. Just did a tiny research, and discovered what side affect you may get from the 14 years you were on the patch. Since it would be impossible to get the side affect mentioned at: http://www.webmd.com/cancer/tc/endom...topic-overview

Maybe you should check out Herbalists in your area, or if they have one at the local GNC. They will know what your imbalance is without asking a question, and suggest what you should be taking.
