Yesterday at the grocery store, a man was in line using his card to pay for his food. The card was declined.

The customer behind him..........total stranger.......reached over and swiped her card and paid for his CART FULL of food!!

Funny thing was, the guy didn't speak or understand English, so he had no idea what was going on. lol. We tried to tell him, but he didn't understand. He stood there for almost 20 mins, trying to pay for his food. We had to push him out the door (nicely!!! lol ) to get him to leave!

    Pay it forward!!

I work in a whole food grocery store and bakery. We usually donate our "left over" bread to a local food bank. If they don't pick it up in time, it gets tossed because we can't store it forever and we add to the pile daily. Yesterday, the driver couldn't pick up the bread... so after work a co worker and I drove it all over rather then see it in the dumpster. They were so pleased as we helped unload the bread, my friend was able to fix the truck !

I'm posting this here, because of how people are helping this little girl.

6-year-old girl asks for holiday cards for her last Christmas

    http://www.today.com/health/6-year-o...mas-1D80339300

Sending out holiday cards this week? You’ll want to add another name to your list.

Addie Fausett, 6, of Fountain Green, Utah, is likely celebrating her last Christmas this year due to an atrophy of her brain that has left doctors puzzled. And in the face of devastating news, her family has come up with a beautiful idea: They are asking people to send Addie a “lifetime of Christmas cards.”

So far, hundreds of cards have poured into her nearby post office. “We really just started spreading the word. I think it’s just going to grow and grow,” says Amber Brosig, managing trustee at Children and the Earth, Inc., a nonprofit organization that is assisting with the project.

While fulfilling wishes like this one is for the child, for sure, it also goes a long way for the parents, siblings and other relatives. “We’re creating lasting memories for the family, with the family,” Brosig explains.

Addie was just 3 years old when her mother, Tami, noticed that her girl could no longer hold a crayon or spoon, suddenly had difficulty speaking and her growth came to a standstill. Doctors found that her brain was shrinking and filling with fluid—a condition called diffuse atrophy—but the underlying cause of Addie's atrophy remains undiagnosed, a medical mystery. Even now at 6 years old, Addie has never weighed more than 25 pounds. Last month, doctors delivered heartbreaking news: Addie had roughly a year to live, and her mental state would deteriorate before her physicality—she will forget what and who she knows.

“She’s just darling and fragile,” Brosig says. “She has the sweetest little soul. We’re so glad we can assist.”

Making this time even more difficult for Addie and her sisters, Shayley, 10, and Audree, 7, is the unexpected loss of their father, who passed away over the weekend; he and their mother were separated.

Cards should be addressed to Addie as well as her older sisters. “They are going through a hard time, too,” Brosig says. “We are encouraging the public to reach out to them as well.”

If you’d like to contribute a greeting, send it to:

Addie Lynn and Sisters, P.O. Box 162, Fountain Green, UT 84632

What kinds of cards does Addie like? All kinds—but especially homemade. “Obviously, you can go to Hallmark and get the ones that play music or this or that,” Brosig says, “but the handmade ones—or artwork, if you have a child—is even more special for the family, though, of course, they are just grateful for it all.”

Children and the Earth, a nonprofit that directly pays medical bills for those in need, is also taking donations for Addie. Donate here or send a check to Children and the Earth (write “Addie” in the memo), 252 W. Cottage Ave., Sandy, UT 84070.

You can also stay up on Addie’s Christmas wish by visiting her Facebook page.

What These Two Cops Did After 2-yo Calls 911 Has Everyone Smiling

    https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v...type=2&theater

CAUGHT ON CAMERA: What these two cops did after responding to a 911-hangup call will have everyone talking......................... because it's AWESOME!!!
Officers Ward & Paramore went to a local apartment Saturday following a 911 hangup. The little girl told officers she was sad because they weren't going to have a Christmas tree this year. Understanding that the family was struggling, the officers did what makes them some of our finest...they surprised them on Sunday by delivering a Christmas tree, stand, lights and ornaments!

(I love how the little girl hugs the TREE! lol)

Well, my neighbors out door barn cat got hurt. Looked like something shaved the skin off her side in one spot. Neighbor was going to let it go cause they didn't have the money for the vet and just poor peroxide on it.
Anyway, I offered to take the cat to the vet and cover the cost, well the cat had to have surgery to fix it's side up. It's been almost 10 days since her surgery. I'm careing for her, after 2 weeks she can go back outside.
I have a feeling she is going to want to stay over here. LOL
If you have pets you can imagine what it cost me.

Today I was in Wal-Mart shopping, I had some coupons for board games the games I wanted wasn't listed. I layed them on the shelf where a girl was looking at games. I told her use it if she can, I heard her on the phone saying I have the game and a lady just gave me a 3.00 off coupon for it.

Fantasy Flight takes children to 'North Pole'

    http://www.azcentral.com/story/news/...pole/19968581/

A group of underprivileged children were flown from Sky Harbor International Airport to "the North Pole" Friday morning, where there were presents, games, food and, of course, Santa.

It was the annual United Fantasy Flight, which took about 120 students from Children First Academy and Concordia Charter School to a winter wonderland.

"Watching the kids' faces when they come on and then take off is incredible," said United Airlines flight attendant Bunny Fleming, who's been working the Fantasy Flight since 1995. "They get so excited. It almost brings me to tears to watch them."

The flight is called "SANTA 1." The children took a 30-minute plane ride, arriving at a gate decorated to look like Santa's workshop at the North Pole.

Each child received a gift bag with toys, blankets, socks, gloves and toiletries.

The nonprofit United Airlines Fantasy Flight Association takes donations and holds fundraising events to pay for the festive day and raise money to benefit the children throughout the year.

"We've been doing this 19 years," said Marilyn Fairley with the United Airlines Fantasy Flight Association. "Over the past, we have generated $36,000 for underprivileged children, and last year alone we raised $12,900 and we give 80 percent back to the school for computers, Kindle Fires, to help with their education process as well."

Among the many volunteers who helped out were students from ASU, local church members, representative from various local clubs, and of course current and retired United employees.

"The children are so great," said volunteer Midge Kelly. "I just feel like one of them when I come back. I want to play with them, do a lot of different things with them and see their eyes light up."

The festivities included breakfast, but "they can't eat. They are too excited," said Kelly.

Just the lift she needed: Cop carries woman with MS down stairs

    http://www.today.com/health/cop-carr...oit-1D80342657

During a power outage in Detroit last week, Kristi Marie Earley got just the lift she needed when a friendly police officer stepped in to help her navigate a flight of stairs.

Earley, who has multiple sclerosis, was contemplating how to get down the front staircase at the Frank Murphy Hall of Justice on Dec. 2 when Deputy Sheriff Mark Bennetts of the Wayne County Sheriff's Department offered his help, which she accepted. He scooped her up and carried her down to the car that was waiting for her, in a sweet moment that was captured on video and shared widely online.

Earley, 39, a mother of two from Brownstown Township, Mich., had initially tried to make it on her own but was glad for the help once she realized it might be a little much.

"I was very appreciative," Earley told TODAY.com. "They were actually upset with me because I walked down 11 flights of stairs to get to the main floor before the officer carried me out. What I hope comes out of this is that more people are aware of MS and that they quit knocking all these cops, who do great work."

"Generally speaking, I try to do anything I can for anyone who needs the help,'' Bennetts told TODAY.com. "My partner was sitting with her in the building, we saw the car pull up, and she had noticeable trouble standing up. I stabilized her to get her out the door, but when we got to the steps, she chuckled and said, 'I don't know if I can make it down the steps,' so once I had her permission I picked her up and helped her down."

Earley said multiple officers sat with her as her cousin, Tracey Barr, pulled the car around in front of the building to pick her up before Bennetts gave her a lift down the stairs. Earley was in the building conducting some business when the power outage occurred and had already walked down almost a dozen flights of stairs, pausing to take breaks because of fatigue and pain. Earley was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, a disease of the central nervous system that can cause fatigue, pain in the torso, and vision problems, in 2000.

"Every single sheriff who was down there was super nice and super helpful,'' she said.

"It's humbling,'' Bennetts said of the reaction online, where the story garnered numerous comments when posted by Fox 2 Detroit. "I don't feel deserving of the attention because me doing that pales in comparison to what my partners do every day on the street."

Earley didn't even get Bennetts' name after he helped her, but she was thankful for the lift and gave him a handshake before getting in the car. She was later upset by Facebook comments that claimed the video was orchestrated by the sheriff's department for positive publicity.

"There were so many negative comments like 'It was only because he was on camera,''' Earley said. "He didn't know he was going to be on camera. None of us did. A lot of other sheriffs were helping other people, and they didn't get on camera."

Earley now hopes to meet with Bennetts and thank him again.

Cat Survives 36 Days In A Box After Movers Accidentally Ship Her To Hawaii

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/1...ef=mostpopular
There is a video also if interested.

When the day finally came for Ashley Barth and her family to make the big move to the Hawaiian island of Maui, they were heartbroken. Their family cat, Mee Moowe, had gone missing.
Mee Moowe, Barth told WAVY-TV, must have run away the day the movers came to pack up their Virginia home. Trusting the movers, New World International, could handle the move without her there, she left them alone in the house so she could take her baby to a doctor's appointment, according to local news site Hawaii News Now.
Hoping that their cat would return, the family extended their trip three days. They waited in the empty house, but Mee Moowe never showed up. Eventually, on Sept. 12, the Barths had to leave.

"She's such an important part of our family. She sleeps with my daughter every night," Barth told Hawaii News Now. "So it was devastating when we were unable to find her."
Thirty-six days later, the family's belongings finally arrived on Maui. As the movers began unloading the boxes, they heard a faint and muffled "meow."
“The guy goes, ‘What was that sound?’ and my heart just kind of sunk for a minute," Barth told WAVY-TV. "And I thought, ‘No, no way.’ And then we heard it again. And the guy said, ‘Was that a cat?'”
Immediately, Barth realized it was Mee Moowe, and "everybody started crying," she told local news station KHON2. Her 10-year-old daughter helped free the cat from the box.
After surviving more than a month inside a sealed box with no food or water, Mee Moowe looked strikingly different. Her eyes were crusted shut, she had lost half her body weight, and she exhibited all the typical symptoms of starvation, reports note.
Because of Hawaii's strict animal quarantine and vaccination regulations, Mee Moowe did not have much time with her family after her arrival on Maui. She was supposed to receive her vaccinations with another family member back in Virginia before being properly shipped to the island, but Mee Moowe now has to live with a Hawaii veterinarian for three months in order to receive proper vaccinations.
Although Barth told Hawaii News Now that she blames the moving company for what happened to their cat, she's happy that the smallest member of their family miraculously survived the whole ordeal.
New World International did not respond to The Huffington Post's requests for comment.

Tim Tebow And 'GMA' Pay Off Layaway Bills For Shoppers, Spread Holiday Cheer Like Pros

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/1..._ref=good-news
    There is video available.

Tim Tebow can still win over a crowd.
The former Heisman Trophy winner teamed up with "Good Morning America" to pay off the layaway bills for stunned shoppers at an Orlando, Florida, Walmart Sunday.
Customer Damara Jarrett told Tebow, now a "GMA" correspondent, that she had lost her car and was a full-time student who had missed work. She put gifts on layaway for her two small children. When Tebow informed her that "GMA" would foot the bill, she cried and hugged him.

Florida is Tebow's home state, so it was no surprise that one customer had a particularly strong reaction when she recognized him. "Oh snap," Jasmine Nunes said. "Shut the front door."
After Tebow revealed her payments were covered, Nunes' response was priceless. "Shut up!" she said with delight. "Oh my God. Thank you."
It may have been the sweetest "shut up" Tebow ever heard.
"GMA" was touring the country to surprise shoppers by settling up their layaway accounts. The segment above aired Monday.
