    Red face

Live in Ohio and the weather is the same here.We have been on a level 3 which means if we are caught on roads we would get a $250.00 fine and could get 30 days in jail. The reason is they want only people on the roads that need be so they can clean roads and also for our own safety.I live in the country and they have not plowed my road since this started 2 days ago.Just staying in house staying warm..lol.We got generators ready in case we do lose power as we remember the Blizzard of '78.Stay warm and stay safe!

Northwest Ohio here - this transplanted Texan is *very* unfamiliar with all this white stuff and below zero temperatures. Went out briefly today when Bill couldn't get back up the driveway - I couldn't see the curbs, and stepped into a drift that was mid-thigh high when I went to help. Glad no one had a video camera to capture me floundering and landing on my behind in the snow Took me a minute or two to regain my footing and balance...and we never did get that car back up the drive, even with two guys coming over to see if they could help. It's going to take me a while to get used to this...

Schools were closed here for 3 days. We lost our internet for three days. We had a solid sheet of ice covering everything. It was so cold salt wouldn't melt it. This is the coldest I ever remember it being here in Ohio. Magickay, unfortunately you never get used to it. I've lived here all my life and still hate it. We had 5 foot drifts in our driveway and yard. I'm already dreaming of spring. lol Adafarms, I remember that blizzard well. Whenever we get a storm like came through this week we talk about it. My husband has newspaper clipping about it in his scrapbook from when he was a kid.
