I sold my tickets to someone that wanted to go on the cruise so it's official, I won't be on my dream cruise this year but that's okay, there's always next year.

Smokey is a mess. Going to work tonight is going to kill me. She's not eating & I am unsure if she's even drinking any water. She won't play. I on't know what to o for her.

You can't do anything for her. It's her way of grieving. Just be there for her and pet her a lot and hug her. That's all you can do right now.

Cute photo of your doggie. My dog was actually suppose to be a cocker spaniel too....just like him. I got her from a friend I worked with who told me her dog was having cocker spaniel pups. She ended up being part cocker spaniel, part poodle, part wheaton terrier, part mutt.

    What a mess! A Heinz 57 dog!

Since our dogs are from the same area, perhaps they have searched each other out and are running in fields playing together. Maybe there's a Puppy Hershey Park in doggie heaven!

Aw, wobbly. I am so sorry for your loss. I had to have my kitty put down several years ago and it is heart breaking but not to have done that for her and not to have loved her was much as we did would have been worse. I know how much you hurt but you gave your pup a wonderful life and your pup enriched your life. What a wonderful gift for both of you.

Thanks to everyone who has said nice things to this post the last few days.

Smokey finally ate today. I had a friend come over so she wouldn't be alone too long before the hubby got off from work. It was horrible. She told my friend all about it. She would whimper, then gently kiss her then whimper a little more and ask for a hug.

She is lost without him but she'll be okay sooner or later.

You got it Magickay. I have off the next 3 nights and I'm not planning on leaving the house. I just want to love on her.

Boomer looks like he was nice dog. I know what your going through is hard. I had to put 3 cats down in a little over a years time. I had pretty much done all I could for them.
Glad your female dog is finally eating and that you had someone come in and be with her so she wasn't alone. She will need her grieving time too.
