So far, so good here too!
(knock on wood)
I think one thing that is helping is that I wear work gloves every day at my new job. Less contact with germs.

Thankfully no one here has gotten it. I'm really trying to watch when I'm out about putting my hands near my face. I was out today and both times I got in the car I pulled out the generic purell and did my hands. Once home and things put away I washed them good with soap and water.

Or maybe the flu just hasn't hit Pa yet, since all 3 of us are from Pa, and none of us have it. lol

It is widespread in PA, hopefully none of us will get it. Last I heard which was a few days ago 20 children has already died from the flu nationwide.

Here in IL., the hospitals are having to put patients in the ICU because they have run out of beds. I really hate to go shopping or anything anymore with all this stuff going around. My friend spends the winter in Florida and she got it and called here to her doctor for a prescription and he called it down but she had to wait almost 2 days to get it filled, that is how backlogged the pharmacy's are in filling the stuff. Her husband has had the one with the bad cough and has been coughing terrible for 4 weeks now...

I had it a month ago. Thankfully it was the 24 hour kind. I couldn't keep anything down the whole time. There are three other family members in the house and none of them caught it from me which was a miracle.

Not here thank God. But we don't get out much so thats probably why. I'm afraid my husband might get it and that would be bad with him having copd. He's had a flu shot so I hope that protects him.

I am being so careful at work also. I use papertowels to open the doors to the lunchroom & refrigerator at work since we only have a sink but no soap in the lunchroom. I can't wear gloves at work because my lathes run with 100% pure cutting oil so my hands are too gross to be touching my face so I have that going for me.
I don't use antibacterial soap at home because that stuff isn't good for you but I do wash up after I come home everytime too.
It's going around but I'm doing my best. I bet I'll get sick right before my next cruise which is 58 or so days.

We had it here over the holidays. DD started the round off - then DS#1 - then me then DS#2 - then Mark.... DS#1 ended up with walking pnemonia, DS#2 ened up with broncytis.... Mark even got sick enough to miss work which hasn't happened in ten years. Took about three weeks to run thru the whole family ... mostly during the Thanksgiving Holidays and running up to Christmas.
