Thread: What are you doing to bring in the new year?

I still feel crappy but these things won't clear up overnight. It takes me a good two weeks, if I catch it in time, to recover.

Shall we meet up again and share a glass of biolo?

I had some last year when I wasn't sick and it was really good but I just can't think of drinking booze when I'm sick.

Thankfully I only have to go into work for one night, tomorrow, then I have 3 days off again.

What do you have a cold or the flu?
We can meet up again but once your well, but I will pass on the boilo or any other drink. I don't care for the taste of alcohol and if I did drink anything it wouldn't take much to get me smashed. LOL

A guess - one of the towel creations that hotel staff leave. The staff at Disney found that my youngest was awed by the first one ... and spent the whole week making more and more elaborate ones every day... he was alway excited to get back to the room and see what "gift" they had left. Had to take pictures of every one before they could be moved

I guess that tells you how long it has been since I stayed in a hotel. I didn't even know they did things like that, but that's a neat idea for them to do, very creative to me.

Had a relaxed New Year celebration - last night, champagne, chocolates and Clementines at midnight and a few hands of gin rummy This afternoon, it was Chinese food, and tonight - black-eyed peas. Life is good when it's simple...

Great minds think alike - mall & chinese for lunch... blackeyes peas over rice, coleslaw ( for cabbage ) with a citrus dressing and corn bread... is what's for supper.

It's a sinus infection but since I had TB as a young child all my sinus infections go into bronchitis then pneumonia. I have a weaken immune system so I get like a big baby when I'm sick because I know I'm going to be sick for a while. I've dealt with it a few times for 7 or 8 weeks. I was so bad already that they wanted me in the hospital but I refused. If the doctor would only allow me to treat myself I wouldn't get as bad as I do but they think they know my body better then me so they allow it to get really bad before they cave in & listen to me. I had an extra prescription for this Z Pac this time so this is why I think I'll recover fast. I can deal with 2 weeks, that will be a walk in the park to compare past episodes but I'm still going to see my doctor in hopes of scoring a script for another Z Pac that I can keep in reserve!

I forgot you aren't a drinker. I've stopped drinking, for the most part also so my user name doesn't fit me at all anymore. I also lost 40 pounds since we saw each other but I think I gained at least 5 on the cruise. I refuse to step on the scale. I'll get back to my workouts as soon as I can.

Once I'm over this bout we will have to do lunch again. That was nice. This time, you pick the place!

My avatar is a towel animal from my first cruise back in March. Each evening the room steward comes in, folds down your sheets, places the next day's ship's itinerary on your bed along with a towel animal. My favorite one this time was a monkey hanging from the light fixture. It was so cute!

Ugh, sinus infections are the pits. Hopefully your z-pack will knock it out of you. I knew I had a sinus infection right before Thanksgiving, I called the doc and was told to do over the counter things. I made an appt after about 10 days and went in, yep sinus infection. Doc told me the CDC has said most sinus infections will clear up on there own, except of course the one I had, he said it wouldn't have so I had 10 days of antibiotics. Also, they won't prescribe anything until its been at least 10 days since you have had it.

Good for you on stopping drinking for the most part and the weight loss. Unfortunately, I haven't lost any weight.

Well, Jolie was correct when she said your avatar probably came from hotel, I guess a cruise is like a floating hotel. I didn't know they did things like that, that is neat.
