For those of you in the ''snowy'' states.............
For those of you in states like Colorado, Wisconsin, Michigan, Alaska, etc...who are used to a lot of snow......
when the weather man calls for snow, do people in your state FLIP OUT and rush out to buy toilet paper, milk, and bread??
I swear, these morons around here will wipe out the shelves of every store in town, if someone so much as mentions snow!! They act like they're going to be stranded for months!
And isn't ''TOILET PAPER'' something you should have on hand already??

Well, if they don't have toilet paper, they will really have it "on hand".

That doesn't create a very pleasant image.

I don't at all. I can remember years ago growing up being snowed in and having to take the snowmobile to town for groceries. I also remember having to take the boat down the road and leaving the car parked on the other side of the river for when the snow melted and we were flooded in on both sides (same river snakes around and we are in the middle of it). It doesn't seem like we get the amount of snow we used to. We had snow forts the size of trucks when we were kids. Now you can't even make a snowman. I am not complaining!!!! I don't want winter this year.

I am in South Louisiana - if there are snow flurries, people freak out. If we get ANY that stays on the ground ... they close school, state, city, and federal offices ect ... because NO ONE knows how to drive on icey surfaces. We had friends staying from Virginia once and we had SNOW !! A virtual BLIZZARD - about a half an inch on the ground. They thought we were INSANE.... but it only happens every 8 - 10 years.
Laissez les bon temps rouler! Going to church doesn't make you a Christian any more than standing in a garage makes you a car.** a 4 day work week & sex slaves ~ I say Tyt for PRESIDENT! Not to be taken internally, literally or seriously ....Suki ebaynni IS THAT BETTER ?

Pa is known as the french toast state because it seems we always make it when we get snow.
I felt like such a dork. I was completely out of milk, bread & eggs so I had no choice but to pick some up because I eat 2 soft boiled eggs everyday with toast & an 8 oz glass of skim milk. It's a staple in my life. I made sure I picked up some other stuff so I wouldn't appear to be in a panic, which I wasn't. I don't think I'm even going to see a flurry from this so called storm.
FOR EVERY LAW THAT IS PASSED, WE LOSE A LITTLE BIT MORE OF OUR FREEDOM.

That is so true! If they even mention the word snow the grocery stores are packed & yep with the french toast. My son works are a grocery store & he said it is always a madhouse the day before a storm.
Insanity is hereditary. You get it from your kids.

At one time I did run to the store and stock up, but now if I'm low I will go pick it up. But I don't run just cause the say snow. I found out the roads are usually clear in a day. It isn't like we are getting snowed in. Now with that hurricane yes, I did go buy things that were easy to heat up.

If I'm low on stuff I might go shop but no, I don't freak out. If it threatens to be horrendous, I may see to it that I have extra water. I live in NW lower peninsula of MI.

After having lived in AR for 13 years, I know what you mean. They don't have snow often enough to learn how to drive in it and the folks that think they do know how to drive in it and then get out in it and drive...SHOULDN'T!

All depends where you live in the state. I live in WI, and Milwuakee and Madison get more snow them me, and I live between them. Usually snows about 4 times yearly, but about every 6th or 7th year, snows more regularly. Last year I just needed to be plowed out twice. This year I'm sure it will be more then that. BUT to run out to the store, to stock up on something, nope don't plan on it, and YES when 'snowed in' you just love to have comfort food around, and when we hear about major storms, we'll get the 'comfort food' during that normal grocery shopping.
