I have good news...
I haven't posted in quite a while because for some reason my PW got changed. That got all straightened out today so I thought I would share the news.
I'M RETIRING!!! Yep...Yep...Yep... I gave the Mouse 3 months notice and I'm leaving the end of December. I have no plans other than to not wake up to an alarm and also to watch the TV shows that are on at 10:00 p.m. (not via DVR...LOL.) I haven't seen them in years.
I'll probably get a part-time job somewhere...just as long as I can do my job and go home. I may even end up at Wal-Mart...who knows?

Welcome back, and congrats!
How long did you work for the 'mouse?'
If I worked there, I don't know if I could ever quit! LOL

Congrats Kelsey, once you retire do you still get discounted passes and things for you and your family?

Congrats! I'm not sure that I will ever be able to retire. But I am sooo happy for you! I have a question for you. I'm taking my daughter to UCLA for medical testing on December 10 through the 13. When we get in a LAX on Monday morning, we are headed for Disneyland. Do you know we can get 1 day tickets at a discount? They are like $86 a piece for 1 day. Any ideas for us? Thanks!

I have worked for Disney for 18 years...and yes, I keep my Silver Pass when I retire. My husband also has one. That allows us to take 4 people (including ourselves) into any of the theme parks. Se both can't use them at the same time, but he can go without me and use his. Plus, we get 35% discount on all merchandise and 50% discount at the resorts. I also will get two complimentary passes once a year. (As an employee, I got them twice a year.)
Debbi, as for cheap tickets, I'm not aware of any site that provides them. In Florida, you can get cheaper tickets all over the place around Walt Disney World, but I'm not aware of that being the same in Anaheim. I think they offer an auto club discount of 10%. And, you are right that a one park pass (as opposed to a hopper pass which allows you to go from Disneyland to California Adventure and back) is $89! Amazing, isn't it. And, the parks are ALWAYS crowded. If I didn't get in free, I wouldn't go myself. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Congrats, for the well earned reward...you go ahead and sleep in, and watch your
tv shows at night. During the middle of the day, you can even talk to us numbskulls! Lol
i'm loving it.
Smiles.
