    Sandy Update

How did/is everyone doing with Sandy?
I'm in PA, where I am located we got rain and winds.
We lost power a couple of times but it came right back on. I know lots of people are without power and lots of downed trees.

We really lucked out this time, didn't we Eyore?

We lost power for about 10 seconds. Even our direct tv stayed on except for the local channels. They went out for primetime on Monday.

I had put in for a vacation day over a week before but my company closed & they gave me back my vacation day!

Yes, we were very lucky and I won't complain one bit about it.

I can't believe how devastating this hurricane was. So many people lost everything.

We made it through ok. I was worried about family members though. I have 1 cousin who lives in a beach town. We finally heard from her. Their house is OK but they don't have power/water so they are staying in a shelter. They have a rental in Hooboken that has major damage but they can not get to it to check their tennents.
My other 2 cousins lost power/water for 2 days but had trouble getting gas for their cars. My son & I were going to drive to Jersey yesterday to bring them gas but they finally found a station & were able to fill up 1 car & 1/2 of the other. She said the Jersey shore is completely gone. They are all still in a state of shock. Now we all may be getting a Nor'Easter on Wednesday. Not good.

Hey there Sunniekiss, I see you're in NEPA also. Which county? I'm in Schuylkill.
